"IN realized Saar" It's true that the Indian Carriers are dogshit but that doesn't change the fact that they have brahmos on anything that floats plus pretty potent air defences our chances of sinking them with missiles are pretty low.

Sure, but none of this made any difference last year, so your point?

The IN carriers have limited effect without onboard aerial refuelling capability. Sure, they have biddy refuelling, but that can only take you so far, maybe 1 or 2 air craft from a buddy refueller. The US needs tanker fleets dotted around the globe to support its aircraft carriers. It's made all the more worse with their short legged Mig29K fighters.

Yeah sure but I don't think the Indians plan on using their Aircraft carriers as strike assets, it's why you see them put such heavy Emphasis on putting brahmos on everything.

For the USN their destroyers primary task is defense while their Carrier aircraft the primary offensive asst it's why they have comparatively light offensive capability compared to for example their Chinese counterparts.

The aerial refueling thing is needed when the distances bet ween coast lines I huge which is not in our scenario

The Hangors have their work cut out for them, they have to stop this from getting in range of Karachi and Gwadar

124 brahmos between all these ships. For comparison we only have 16 SS Ashms in our current fleet.
A pair of Thunders armed with CM400 is enough to accomplish that

Watch the press conference from last May and what the navy guy had to say about the indian carrier deployment.

just for info how many 800 km range Brahmos missiles are in inventory of India Navy????

I don't think they have any yet.
Exactly .... Brahmos is not a current threat from Indian Navy but their K series of missiles are.

We can force Indian Navy to stay +400 km away from Pakistani costs because of combination of A2 /AD defense strategies.

PN does have some surprises up in its sleeves including non kinetic measures.

400KMs isn't a enough, PN needs to make sure They can't operate in the western Arabian Sea or else they can just park a few ships near the gulf of Aden and turn back in any cargo ships going to Pakistan.

PN needs to invoke sort of a "mutually assured destruction" Ie if you try to sink our cargo vessels going in and out of the straight of Malacca we will sink any of your cargo vessels going in and out of the straight of Hormuz and the Gulf of Aden.
