That is reasonable. I have made the same argument in the past as well. However to put in perspective the cost, the Thai navy put ~$40-50M into each Naresuan class ship to upgrade them with Mk-41 VLS and new sensors and CMS from SAAB. Wirh inflation and more expensive sensor/VLS PN probably looking at ~$70M per ship. Any new frigate with similar capabilities would cost PN at least $200M (most likely something based around Yarmook II design) and more likely $300M if we are talking JCF.Replacing FM-90N with HHQ-10 and C-802s with Harbah or SMASH should suffice. What you are suggesting would require significant resources and time, which given PN's situation, would be better spent on newer ships.
Practicing to launch standoff weapons for afar towards IN vessels that breach the EEZ and maritime border towards karachi? Guess the submarine hounds would be there somewhere as well ready to prowl.
Still more exclusive than khawaja asifThis man has an exclusive interview with someone every week.
I wouldn't be surprised if the TTP/A were behind this, terrorism financing is usually closely associated with illegal drugs. The locals in Pakistan who are helping this flow, must be arrested. They cannot do this without help in Pakistan.
