Pakistan Rocket Force Command News and Discussions

A Pakistani analyst/fanboy video is quoting Turkish media that Fatah-4... the cruise missile... is getting Turk made thermobaric warheads.

Eventually other missiles will get them too.

As you know, thermobarics... fuel-air... are the biggest bang you can get without going nuclear.

Practically our one missile will have it's bang increased by 3-5 times.

I am very happy.

I think the Turkish Gazap (MK-84) also uses thermobaric warhead. I have seen it's videos, it's like hell on earth. If we can get our hands on it and add this to fatah series missiles then it would be awesome. Also maybe get some GAZAP bombs as well.

BUT they can be for the target drones developed by Nescom...
Target drones are light they don't carry a 500kg warhead.
No point in putting such an engine for something like that.
Target drones and powered REKs use mini turbojets

When we talk about scaling the production of conventional supersonic and sub-sonic missiles, we need to consider the costs and supply chain issues. Pakistani missile making entities are operating under severe sanctions. The front companies made to procure the materials and equipment are quickly identified and sanctioned by America.

So the materials from black-market or from china would come at a steep cost and we'd be paying high premium on it. Being a sanctioned entity and how desperate we are.

It'd jackup the price of final/finished product. China which is known for cheap production sold us 50 CM-400 AKG at 1 Million $ a piece. The cost of our missiles, lets say for Fatah-IV, if we think is 500,000 $, think again. It could be 1 million or more because of how we procure things.

America fired more than 850 Missiles in 1 month of war which is 850 - 900 million dollars and that's for one type of subsonic missile . We have Fatah-1, 2 , 3, 4/Babur, SMASH, Taimoor/Ra'ad and not to forget the Babur LACM/Naval versions, Shaheen's, Abdali's and Ababeel's. We don't have that kind of money to produce the conventional missiles at such large scale in given conditions unless we start eating grass again. (GCC funds should be out of question now considering what they going through.)

So we need to find cheap ways to make missiles. Just like Iranians are using cheap motorcycle engines for their drones to ensure low cost. Their missiles also use cheap parts. Yes we are sanctioned but are we sanctioned on level or Iran? No. Then atleast we should be able to match their production costs for our missiles as well. Because in its current state and cost 100 Shaheen 3 will bankrupt Pakistan. So what is the benefit of these many types of missiles if we can't have more than 50 of each?

The only indeginous CM engine was proposed by GIDS and idk how much of it has been developed , Ukrainian engines are better tho and we should just reverse engeneer them like how IRAN did with russian engines and making cruise missiles travel thousand of KM.
or just go towards turkey to TOT TJ series turbines and keep getting them from ukraine too.
F1 should probably be in numbers as it is an MLRS , F2 weights quite a lot .
In our scenario , Boost and Midcourse face interception will be common

If our issue is too many missile types to produce , then wouldn't it make sense to ditch the F-1 for F-2 and later versions? Because F-1 range is only 140km. It limits its use because you need to be close to border and still be able to hit only 50-70 km away from border.

@JamD
I am hearing stuff about Black boxes, full fledged guidance modules are being imported from china and turkiyea.
You heard anything on this?.
I was told thats how they are circumventing sanctions, Government level agreements have done with turkiyea and china, stuff is for civilian use on Paper like radar altimeters for agricultural drones.

No idea.

Fatah - lll cruise missile revealed

True, but officially inducted weapons include Fatah (A100 MLRS), Fatah-1 140km MLRS, Fatah-2 400km TBM, Fatah-3 (speculated to be CM302 or HD-1) and Fatah-4 low flying 750km subsonic cruise missile.
Was reading through this thread and found that you had somehow correctly predicted fatah 3 to be a hd-1 almost a year ago

Pakistan RFC currently has:
Fatah 1 - MLRS - 140km
Fatah 2 - MLRS - 400km
Fatah 3 - Supersonic cruise - 450km
Fatah 4 - GLCM - 700km
Fatah 5 - In development

news & discussions only because 'updates' sounds unnecessary.

And Please also remove Fatah 1, Fatah2 from the title of this other thread so it can focus on other artillery.

Fatah - lll cruise missile revealed
How do we know it's a cruise missile, and also supersonic from a single still photo?
