@Solomon2, if you have contacts in the IAF, have them do a bombing run on the Saudi's. I'm curious how this would play out.

You only know if something works when it's tested.

Only the Almighty Allah SWT, the magnificent, is enough to DEFEND Makkah and Madinah Munawwara. Does anyone even think anything in this entire universe can even dare to even enter the Madina territory with evil intentions , without itself getting destroyed first. Allah SWT protects Madina Munawwara. His Angels and invisible (to humans) forces protect the sanctity of the resting place of the Noble Messenger PBUH. We all know that as Muslims. Even Dajjal cannot enter Madina.

I don't think we need to worry much about it. The Creator WILL protect the holy cities and mosques. Remember Abraha and the Ababeels. But yes its a good feeling to say and feel that vibe.

This pact must be to defend the rest of the KSA territory perhaps?

Some good details by the FT here.

Saudi Arabia signs ‘strategic mutual defence’ pact with Pakistan

Saudi Arabia has signed a “strategic mutual defence” pact with Pakistan, signalling to the US and Israel that the kingdom is willing to diversify its security alliances as it looks to bolster its deterrence. The agreement with the nuclear-armed south Asian state comes a week after Gulf states — traditionally reliant on the US as their security guarantor — were deeply rattled by Israel’s missile strikes targeting Hamas’s political leaders in Qatar. “We hope it will reinforce our deterrence — aggression against one is aggression against the other,” a senior Saudi official told the Financial Times. “This is a comprehensive defence agreement that will utilise all defensive and military means deemed necessary depending on the specific threat.”The agreement was signed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Riyadh. Sharif’s office’s reiterated that the agreement “states that any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both”.The Israeli attack on Doha, one of the US’s major non-Nato allies, exacerbated Gulf leaders’ long-running concerns about Washington’s unpredictability and its commitment to their defence, as well as fears about Israel acting unrestrainedly with its military across the region.Riyadh is believed to have informed Washington about the Pakistan defence agreement after it was signed.Saudi Arabia has a long history of ties with Pakistan, and, along with other Gulf states, has provided crucial financial support to Islamabad.Riyadh and Islamabad have for decades shared a tight defence partnership, with a former Pakistani army chief commanding a Saudi-led counterterrorism force in Riyadh.“We have been working on this for well over a year and based on a two to three year conversation,” the Saudi official said.He added that the kingdom was committed to nuclear non-proliferation.Riyadh also maintains strong relations with Pakistan’s south Asian rival India, and is one of its major oil suppliers. The agreement comes four months after Pakistan and India traded air, missile and drone strikes in a May skirmish that brought the neighbouring nuclear powers to the brink of an all-out war. Riyadh had been hoping to seal a defence pact with the US, as well as co-operation with Washington’s nuclear plans, as part of a grand deal that would have led to it normalising diplomatic relations with Israel. However, those plans were upended after Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, triggering the war in Gaza and conflict across the region. Riyadh has become increasingly outraged by Israel’s 23-month war in Gaza and the conduct of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s far-right government.Prince Mohammed accuses Israel of committing genocide, and has made it clear that normalisation is off the table unless Netanyahu ends the conflict and moves to establish a Palestinian state. Pakistan’s Shaheen III ballistic missile delivery system has a range of 2,750km, meaning it can strike deep into the Middle East © Solhail Shahad/EPAHe has maintained warm bilateral relations with the Trump administration, with the kingdom pledging more than $600bn of investments in the US and hosting Donald Trump in Riyadh during the president’s tour of the Gulf in May. However, there is recognition that Saudi Arabia is unlikely to secure the defence treaty with Washington that it seeks as long as a normalisation agreement is not signed with Israel. And while Gulf states are aware that they remain dependent on the US as their primary defence partner, analysts said they could seek to diversify their defence relationships over the long term in the wake of Israel’s strike on Hamas’s leaders in Doha. Trump has suggested he only knew about that attack as it was being launched, despite Doha hosting an American base that acts as the forward operating base for the US military’s Central Command.Israel, along Saudi Arabia, other Arab states and Pakistan, is a member of Centcom, and is the only nuclear armed state in the Middle East, although it does not admit to its programme.Prince Mohammed described the attack on Doha, which targeted Hamas leaders involved in negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza, as “brutal aggression” that required “Arab, Islamic and international action”.
Kudos 🫡 U were right with your earlier comment that this deal must’ve been in the works for some time.
I expect SA will fund expansion & enhancement of Pakistan’s capabilities. Clearly Pakistan is in no position to make any meaningful deployment from its current forces to SA for the ‘deterrence’ being talked about.
No doubt PAF’s recent merciless thrashing of IAF brought this agreement closer, the attack on Qatar & total failure of its ubber expensive western kit to do anything about it, sealed the deal.

Good point, forget the money, politics and what else. Source of pride Pakistan can now protect the Holy Cities

We'll self title ourselves as "Muhafizeen e Harmain Sharefain" just like the king has the title of "Khadim me harmain sharefain"

This is serious...

Damn..

Saudis really, have panicked after Israeli strike on Qatar

Asked by Reuters whether the agreement would place Saudi Arabia under Pakistan’s nuclear umbrella, a senior Saudi official said, "This is a comprehensive defensive agreement that encompasses all military means”.

But the deal’s timing comes after Sunni monarchs were shocked by Israel’s attack on Qatar last week. Middle East Eye revealed that the Trump administration approved the attack beforehand, as subsequent reporting from Axios confirmed.

“This could potentially have profound implications for how regional states view US security guarantees,” Ted Singer, former head of Middle East operations for the US Central Intelligence Agency, told MEE after the Israeli attack.

Saudi Arabia’s nod to Pakistan will not go unnoticed in Washington. Islamabad has strongly condemned Israel’s genocide in Gaza and also criticised Israel’s attack on Iran, its neighbour, in June.

Analysts say that Pakistan was alarmed by the precedent set by US and Israeli air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities - and the potential extension of Israeli aerial dominance near Pakistan’s western frontier.

Pakistan is the only Muslim-majority country with nuclear weapons. It has always framed its arsenal as for defensive purposes, but does not have a “no-first-use” doctrine, which rules out preemptively attacking foes with nuclear weapons.

Saudi Arabia’s decision to forge a defence pact with Pakistan comes after it was rebuffed by the US, which wanted to condition a defensive agreement and the sale of civilian nuclear technology to Riyadh on normalising relations with Israel.

Pakistan should offer the same deal to the mayor of Jerusalem brokered by Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

They will do nothing in case of Israel aggression this bubble is busted due Israel attack on Qatar that why PAK got some free cards in hand from this incident.

In the Gaza war thread, I had said that Israel will be responsible for the expulsion of America from the Middle East. America needs an 'attack dog' via Israel. Not a 'mad dog', which Israel has become.

It was always a mad dog feeded by USA will remain suprise is they got overpowered in decision making on its own now USA must be thinking what they have done it's haunting USA back too. GCC should say back your backs USA go home or stop your dog now or let us find new partners.

Pakistani foreign policy of late has been exceptional

We are prime allies of China, Turkey/Azerbaijan and the Turkic world, Saudi and the GCC, and even Iran.

We have somewhat reset our relationship with the U.S and we are on general good terms with everyone

Our main enemy continues to be the hindutva extremists in India and we need to continue to isolate them in south Asia and beyond

The conflict with India in May 2025, REALLY opened the eyes of multiple countries, the way we cornered and defeated india in a battle where THEY chose the time and place was incredible
The Indians can try to live in a fantasy world but all these things have opened up for Pakistan directly because of our defeat of India

Now we need to continue taking the steps
Work with China
Work with Turkey
Work with the GCC
Obtain funding for defence projects to defend ourselves and allies
Obtain funding for purchases of platforms to defend Pakistan and allies

We need to act smart and move fast and get our projects off the ground quickly with available funding

If India launches another failed attack, will the Saudis provide us with F15s and euro fighters ? Would it expel Indians and sanction India?

Saudi Arabia and nuclear-armed Pakistan have signed a formal mutual defence pact, state media from both countries said, in a move that significantly strengthens a decades-long security partnership.

“This agreement, which reflects the shared commitment of both nations to enhance their security and to achieving security and peace in the region and the world, aims to develop aspects of defense cooperation between the two countries and strengthen joint deterrence against any aggression. The agreement states that any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both,” a joint statement published on Wednesday said, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The defence pact was based on the “historic partnership” between the two countries, the statement said, and “shared strategic interests and close defence cooperation”.

During their meeting in Riyadh on Wednesday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif “discussed ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries across various fields”, SPA said.

“They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, issues of common interest, and the efforts aimed at achieving security and stability.”

Sharif is currently on a state visit to Saudi Arabia.

“This agreement is a culmination of years of discussions. This is not a response to specific countries or specific events but an institutionalisation of longstanding and deep cooperation between our two countries,” a senior Saudi official told the Reuters news agency when asked about its timing.

“This is a comprehensive defensive agreement that encompasses all military means,” the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said when asked whether the mutual defence pact included the use of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons if necessary.

The agreement between the two nations comes two days after an extraordinary joint session between the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was called, in the wake of Israel’s attack on the Qatari capital Doha on September 9.

Arab and Islamic nations widely condemned Israel’s attack, which targeted members of Hamas’s political leadership as they gathered to discuss a US-backed ceasefire proposal.

The senior Saudi official did emphasise that his country’s relationship with nuclear-armed India remained strong. India and Pakistan fought a brief war in May.

“Our relationship with India is more robust than it has ever been. We will continue to grow this relationship and seek to contribute to regional peace whichever way we can,” the official said.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have enjoyed close trade and military ties going back decades.

Since 1967, Pakistan has trained more than 8,200 Saudi armed forces personnel, and the two sides have also held several joint military exercises.

So for those who thought we should mind our own business, come on guys we always knew Pakistan can not separate itself from the Mid East.
