Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

From China's POV, Pakistan has become a safer longterm investment and China will likely increase investments in Pakistani projects.
The military relation between China and Arabs can Established in few years and the most logical gateway and pathway for that connection should be and would be pak.

My guess is in military terms there is little Saudi can do to help Pakistan, as it's US and European aircraft are not integrated into our air defence systems and US aircraft will require permission. I think Saudi funding will help Pakistan armed forces a lot

My guess is there will be a symbolic Saudi presence

1) 1 Sqd of Typhoons, probably based at CCS
2) One Saudi Frigate at Gwadar
3) One Saudi Battalion (possibly even Brigade)

This will be symbolic as any attack on Pakistan will be an attack on these assets, also note that Saudi have sent ships, Fighter jets and armoured units to Pakistan on a regular basis for exercises, so this deal may just make these a permanent fixture

Pakistan presence in Saudi

1) 1 Sqd of F-16s that can be intgrated in RSAF air defence system
2) One PN Sub/Frigate at Saudi Red Sea base
3) One armoured Brigade

All of the above can play little role in defending Saudi in case of Israeli strike but the point is it will mean any attack will involve Pakistani forces defending Saudi. As with Saudi, Pak ships, brigades and fighter jets are a regular fixture in Saudi so this would just make them permanent

Essentially this deal is strategic in nature, practically each side can do little at the moment to militarily protect each other, but for Saudi it means a nuclear armed nation coming to it;s aid. Pakistans benefit may well be more financial in terms of funding f defence equipment purchases as there is very little Saudi forces can do to help Pakistan in war against India

Juts my thoughts
I love your optimism and of course I pray you are right - but I will only believe it when I see it.

I am sure this 'strategic treaty' is not for nothing but I am just not as optimistic as you about what it is/could be.

Pakistan to setup military bases and weapon systems in KSA as per agreement.
I really think KSA and UAE must start making products like medicine, shampoos, medicines, baby products and similar goods to counter P&G, Dove, and so. That is of utmost importance as these take away foreign exchange to the West from the poor to the richest muslims.

These industries can also have private partners, unlike the defence industry.

It is still early, but the Saudi-Pak pact needs long-term commitment like our nuclear program. It shouldn't be a knee-jerk reaction.

Chowkidari ka naya contract hai , retired faujioun ko sab sai ziyada faida hoga. Raheel Sharif is making good money in Saudi and Ahmed Shuja Pasha in UAE. Others want in on the action. Aur kuch naheen.
Might help 😁

personally, i love this type of aggressive tactics like attacking talibans, using chemical weapons on indians, destroying israeli fighter jets for no reason etc. sometimes wild things makes you stronger. i would love to hit civilian population of india.blood is necessary. i like how people cry. cry more. go and die somewhere hahaha. i remember israeli shelter videos. they were so scared and they were large in numbers. how to destroy those shelters? iran made many mistakes. hurt population if you want to hurt a country.
That is precisely how the colonisers were able to colonise the whole planet. Build lots of military capability and do surprise attacks non-stop just for the heck of it. They punished a whole town for one rebel.

Break the enemy's spirit and make him come to the conclusion that it is wrong to oppose you in the first place.

But seriously, a Saudi nuke test will do wonders for the Global South. What are the Europeans going to do? Refuse to buy oil and reject 100s of billions of investment $$ from the KSA? Telling you there is no time like the present!

No one should target civillians on purpose but as our American and European friends have told us, collateral damage at times is inevitable.

Let's see where it goes. I pray that if SA can bury its differences, then invite Turkey in the same manner. Together, they should ask China to open non-strategic industries in the region. KSA has invested 1 trillion $ in the US alone like 5 years ago. It should diversify it investment, or the US can freeze it like it did for Russia and Iran.

These arabs should give us trillion dollars so we could defend them… nothing less

Finally its coming up in the news but no details yet - just that the 2 countries have had military relations for years.

When the Arab countries have unified their voices, I think I will soon see the Arab military visiting China and signing the arms sales agreement in the news. Although China's arms sales are not for making money, it should release water in order to maintain friendship.

Twitter fanboys i guess
There are one-hour programs in arabic. Can't determine the context but it is something good so far.
