Both Pakistanis and Indians are exaggerating the scope of this agreement.
Indians are panicking and asking Saudis to understand sensitivity - Modi really did screw up. India has more than enough existing goodwill and resources to recover but it gave the window to Pakistan to edge itself in. Result is that eventually India will be back to its level but the Pakistani relationship is the net gain. India is net neutral in terms of loss and gain after Sindhoor.

If India and Israel sign such pact, it will limit Pakistans capability to strike Israel as this will result in an strike from Indian side.
However if China is involved in Pak Saudi pact then it will be different situation.
But then USA might show up on India Israels side...
There are many possibilities.

The Arabs ensured to not help the Americans-Israelis to attack Iran and perhaps may have even facilitated the face-saving arrangement to defuse that situation which would be harmful to not only Iran but also to the Americans and the Israelis. But through that facilitation, they also saw the limits of the American power in the region, which an esteemed member above failed to see.

This whole year of major skirmishes between countries, first India attacking Pakistan then Israel attacking Iran. USA bombing Iran then Israel attacking Qatar, all these happened in a span of just few months. That's enough volatility to set major plans in motion.

We should appreciate Iran for sacrificing a lot for the Palestinians. If they had established good relations with Israel, like many other Muslim countries, they would have had a much better economy. When everyone else had abandoned the Palestinians, Iran stood with them and helped them to the best of its abilities. It's another matter if their strategy was correct or not since their go-it-alone strategy didn’t work out. It’s a lesson for all Muslim countries that they need to act in unison, otherwise they’ll all get taken down one by one.

It would be great if Iran also issues a statement in favour of the Pak-Saudi agreement. It would be even better if they also join. It would show the world that the Muslim world is united.

Americans have shown their weakness by not even engaging with Iran fully in the recent encounter and thus did the tit for tat staging attacks, which were face saving for both America, Israel, and Iran. The days of the American sway in the Middle East are over. They really are.
But I really really hope India embraces Israel even more. Back in early 2000s I would be worried about that but not anymore.

This is an Arabic language video with English captions and the gist is the same as we are discussing here: Israel's attack on Qatar and subsequent threats to other Arab countries on top of the much publicized Greater Israel plans became the catalysts for the sudden Pak-Saudi agreement. Netanyahu has indeed lost his mind.

Do you think Pakistan is not hypocritical about Palestinians as well? How many Palestinians did Pakistan kill during Black September? Hundreds? Thousands? Call Indians hypocrites if you want, but they never directly killed Palestinians.

Pakistan did not kill ANY Palestinians. Brig. Zia-ul-Haq was in command of a Jordanian formation and his troops carried out some anti-militant operations.

At no time did Pakistani troops fire on ANY Palestinians with their weapons. For the above act, Zia-ul-Haq was to be court-martialed because GHQ did not approve his participation and he did that out of his own volition in support of King Hussain (and by doing so endeared himself to the King). Foreign friends interceded and he was let off with a serious reprimand on his record.

All of this is documented in the book "Unlikely Beginnings: A Soldier's Life" by Maj Gen A O Mitha and a couple of other sources.

Stop peddling disinformation when you have no awareness of the facts. Unlike India, Pakistan's support for the Palestinian cause has been steadfast and vociferous for over 6 decades now.

Usual fake news from Moscow in service of Putin. Saddam Hussein tried to get both nukes and chemical/bio weapons but was thwarted repeatedly.

In all seriousness, Indian diplomacy has been very good last 20 years. Last 6 months a total disaster, Jaishanker and Indian Defence Minister nowhere to be seen

Just really weird last few months Indian COAS, FM nowhere to be seen globally....
