Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Do you have a view or onion to add to the conversation or just here to troll again with your one liners ?

Usually expressions of shock are short and concise which can be communicated effectively in one sentence.

To assert that Pakistan is immune to tribal infighting or has no baggage with it, can only be attributed to exaggeration and intellectual dishonesty. Pakistani society is always one gunshot away from communal violence not to mention the role this plays in national politics, be it losing the Eastern wing or counterterrorism or water management.

It would be a good thing to come down from this mighty shiny horse of misplaced arrogance regardless of the caffeine or nicotin levels.

This - this is the problem with the whole of the middle east. It is the lack of strategic thought because the middle east is run by little kingdoms and princes & kings who have a lot of power, but no intellect or thought and ego's that stop them from delegating strategic thought and decision making. Their very petty tribal nature causes the endless chaos and why I am a bit wary of Pakistan's involvement tbh(lets see where that goes). The only two countries with real strategic thought and planning are Pakistan and Turkieye ( i am only discounting Iran due to the rift between the revolution and reformers which needs to play out ) and of course Israel, imho and that shows in their approach to things.
The Gulf states are family enterprises, but Pakistan can hardly be compared to Turkiye and Israel. The latter are modern democracies with strong civiilan institutions, whereas Pakistan has been a de facto or de jure military dictatorship with its Constitutions having been either literally or figuratively torn to pieces.

Also, Israel has gained significant territory since its founding and Turkiye since the Treaty of Sevres( including de facto control of North Cyprus) and mostly successfully suppressed any insurgencies within their borders. They also have resilient economies and are world leaders in certain technology pockets. Pakistan lost half the country, faces raging insurgencies and is on economic life support due to decades of mismanagement and loot.

India will rather restart the war than allow for such lofty ambitions.

Let them, did not work out well last time....

Pakistan is also not keen on this perpetually imposed war by India. Be it water, economic, diplomatic or militarily.

It's upto United States of America to enforce the mediating terms of the ceasefire or for India to say no to America. Islamabad MoU is also party to the equation along with India's recent gains in the Pacific.

Fate of Asia and her many civilizations face imminent risk.

India has recieved the bulk of major investment from the GCC along with Europe and US.

Hundreds of billions worth of dollars have been poured into their industrial base which Pakistan threatened to destroy which led to the intervention to stop the war.

This is the tragedy of Pakistan, its allies decided to invest in her enemy and considered it nothing more than a throwaway security guard.

Read your own post again - who is technically the greater fool to remain a common poor security guard rather than an attractive investment option?

Dude, that was just business, same way Pakistani traders and Indian traders did business, how can you expect any country, even Pakistani allies, to ignore a 1.4 Billion person market?

Pakistan should make itself an attractive destination for investment and we do not

Why is it up to them? MAGA mostly want disengagement from the world, Pak should not rely on the US to help with any mediation with India. Pak should continue building its relations with the ME countries, that will indirectly help pressure India.

It's not the case of letting the cat guard the milk.

Because they stuck their neck out for it? Pakistan has a ceasefire owing to American intervention.

unfortunately you failed to mention why you called Muslim/Arab countries in the first place, allow their bases and territories to be used by western aggressors as the launching point for attacking another Muslim nation you seems not to be in your favour.

This is the key to understand the causation before pointing fingers to who is fault.

You ignore although Iran only contributes to a small fraction of the total oils imported by China, this fraction settled in Chinese yuan instead of USD, this is significant for China to promote her own currency settlement, especially when yanks weaponising USD more and more. For the same reason Yanks overthrew Venezuela previous regime so that Oil exported to China will no longer settled in Yuan. Further earlier, Saddam was hanged because he attempted to settle Iraqi oil exports in non usd currency.

In old Chinese saying, enemy’s enemy is your friend. Losing Iran will harm China’s position strategically, given yanks are enforcing their Cold War style alliance to block China in every front and attacking directly ( weak nations such as Venezuela, Iran) or through proxy war against ( Russia) China’s mere friendly nations left.
Please stop that nonsense of Arabs allowing the US have bases in their countries. It's none of Iran's business to tell other countries what to do. However, if those bases are used directly to attack Iran then there may be some justification for Iranian attacks on those US bases. Many of these Arab countries had already publicly declared before the war that they would not allow the US to use those bases to attack Iran. I see no reason to believe their claims. However, Iran is attacking the civil infrastructure in those Arab countries and there is no justification for doing that.

The reality is that coward Iranians have no guts to attack Israel that is still providing the largest support to the US military campaign against Iran as of today. Israelis have destroyed the terrorist Irani proxy of Hezbollah in Lebanon and Iran has so far merely chickened out from its responsibility of protecting its goons.

As for Iran's strategic value for China, it's no more than a zilch. Enemy's enemy has no value here for China. It was only good for coward Hindutva India when Iranians used to suck their Hindutva mushrik allies. Even that ally of Irani mullahs was found deeply collaborating with Zionists in killing Irani leadership.

So if India attacks Pakistan again. Will Saudi join in next time?
I don't think Pakistan will need KSA land forces to join any attack or counter attack on India in case of war, for Pakistan this PACT means KSA will provide Oil on loans and if in a case of a long war we can expect flow of oil, and after few billions to keep our economy afloat. But I really hope to see that in return of our security forces in KSA we should work towards getting investments from KSA which will benefit both KSA/Pakistan.
