Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Genius in what way is KSA some imaginary "shield" for Israel? Have you ever looked at a world map?

Also which sane country is going to accept air violations of their air space?

On the contrary those small GCC states (who are left unharmed - a few useless drones and missiles are not going to change anything even remotely) are only going to strengthen their ties with the US and West. They have said so much publicly and already signed additional defense deals. The approach is retarded if that is the goal.

Nothing prevents the Iranian regime from targeting Israel. The reality is that they are incapable of doing so (as has been seen since 1979 despite all the barking) on a large scale (or to the degree that it will hurt Israel other than being mostly a nuisance - which the number of Israelis killed by Iran confirms which can practically be counted on 2 hands so far) despite Israel carpet bombing them freely. Now with a temporary break.

As I wrote in another thread, 1 RSAF squadron alone could destroy ALL of the oil and gas infrastructure in the region within 1 hour. And then what? Give backward terrorists drones and missiles (enough of them) and they will be able to target it as well.

Even 10 civilians armed with small drones could disrupt sea traffic by targeting sea traffic and oil tankers as well.

Nothing even remotely impressive about any of this modus operandi which is their strongest playing card to begin with (disrupting the oil and gas market and try to cause a global recession).

It is not the achievement you think it is.

To be honest KSA should get rid of those US bases be it logistics or directly supporting the aggression. That's makes you complicit. It's good that Saudi has exercised restrain and not fell head on into Zion trap for the region. Iran understands the same and has shown restrain.
Got to stop that assistance.
It's as simple as that.

Why bomb the houti airport? That was completely unwarranted.

I do believe that Iran and KSA ties can get better, and pave way for a new security architecture for middle east. That can even lead to the resolution of key issues such as Yemen.

Your last point is what is the definition of unconventional warfare.

Petrodollar is a vital pillar of US empire.

My friend, there is no US bases in KSA. The Prince Sultan Air Base is a Saudi Arabian base. US air forces are operating in that base with the approval of KSA. Nothing prevents KSA from removing US forces (when that will no longer suit KSA) just like it occurred after 1991 and prior to the Iraq invasion in 2003.

This animosity between regimes is way deeper than any Israel or US involvement in the region. The first thing the Iranian Arabs (the ones ruling Iran -black Turbans - read up on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safav...gration_of_Arab_Shia_scholars_from_Jabal_Amil ) that run Iran (Iranian regime) did in 1979 was to try to spread the Iranian "revolution" to neighboring Arab states and call for them to be toppled using all means.

That despite many Arab countries (Iraq, Kuwait etc.) hosting those very same Iranian Mullahs when the Shah was cracking down on them. That Khomeini Indian lived in Kuwait and Iraq for a reason before he entered Iran on an Air France plane from Paris after exile there. (another Western implant/agent later going rogue). Same Western intel that helped squash the real Iranian opposition to the Shah (socialists and communists - remember we are talking about 1979 - midst of the Cold War). That later backfired.

Houthis were breaching their own agreements by attacking (failed at that as well) Yemeni government positions.

Later they started to disrupt sea traffic. Probably because the Iranian regime piggy bank demanded for them to do something after staying mostly silent for 13 months.

To be frank with you from an Arab perspective, Iran has no say or business when it comes to internal Arab affairs. We do not accept it and never will. Internal Arab affairs will be solved by the Arab parties involved. Iran is just an opportunistic meddler - nothing more and nothing less.

The mess in Yemen needs to be solved by Yemenis themselves first and foremost and afterwards KSA which is Yemen's largest and most important neighbor and fellow Arab country that Yemen shares the most with of any other country alongside Oman.

No sane Arab country, whether Iraq or Lebanon (last ones) should accept Iranian regime interference in their lands, that regime (which acts more Arab than Arabs themselves) interference has caused nothing but trouble.

Imagine outsiders (in this case Iran as an example) propping up non-state actors within Pakistan in order to weaken the Pakistani military, state institutions etc. as well as using Pakistani proxies for your own twisted and backward interests.

Now the greatest question, what has the Iranian regime given Iran since 1979? An impoverished, sanctioned and now largely destroyed country constantly under attack now? They bragged that they are guarantors of Iran security but it was under their watch that Iraq attacked Iran and killed 500.000-1 million Iranians. It is now under the watch that Iran is getting carpet bombed and the currency, economy etc. is in free wall.

What has those proxy groups of theirs - that use Iran as a piggy bank, given them exactly?

Why do they not have a single state ally that have come to their aid?

Can you imagine if KSA was attacked and what would occur in the region in terms of outside support, fellow Arab and non-Arab alike? Look what happened in 1991, when KSA was not even attacked by Iraq other than a 24 hour long occupation of small Khafji (coastal fishing town next to Kuwait). The entire world came to the aid, starting with the world's superpower (USA), much of NATO. Even the Al-Assad regime, lol.

It's disappointing to see Arabs fighting each other every day instead united together.

Can Pakistan withdraw from this pact?

Iranians were supplying military gear to Houthis hence Saudi bombed the airport. If Iranians has every right to bomb Omani waters to prevent ships passing through Hormuz, why Saudis don't have the same right to prevent Iranian supplying houthis which would ultimately affect Saudis with the closure of Bab-al-Mandab?

More Houthi terrorist cult propaganda. They have failed to target anything of note in KSA after 10 years of conflict. There most successful attack was the drone attack on oil installations in the Eastern Province - using the Rub' al-Khali remoteness as a cover. That was 7 years ago. The damage was rebuild within 2 weeks.

They have not targeted anything of note (their largest attack on KSA since 2016) yesterday either other than 1 oil tank in the Jazan Aramco refinery with very little damage that is going to be fixed within mere days. Satellite imagery has already proven this. Any other claims are the usual Houthi lies.

Examples of FAKE HOUTHI TERRORIST CULT PROPAGANDA ONLINE:

The Houthis are a backward terrorist cult that has no business occupying the little part of Yemen that they continue to occupy. The Yemeni people, government, KSA, Arab and international community is not going to tolerate their disruption of one of the world's most important sea waters (Bab el-Mandeb and the beautiful Red Sea as a whole) or their continue repression of the Yemeni people.

There is a popular tribal and clan mobilization against the Houthis in Yemen for a reason.

The last user is some Lebanese Shia Arab Hezbollah fanboy who as usual is obsessed about KSA. Instead of worrying about Israel annexing much of his little homeland (tiny South Lebanon) and destroying much of it, he is busy writing Houthi propaganda.

As I wrote, there is a large coordinated anti-Pakistan and anti-Pakistani campaign on Arabic X run by pro-Houthi terrorist cultists in Yemen and outside of it. Some incredibly heavy insults aimed at Pakistan and Pakistanis that I will not post here out of respect.

And this is how their backward mentally retarded "clerics" try to explain to the North Yemenis that they are temporarily occupying - why their living standards and life is as it is.

"A Houthi cleric in Sana'a responds to those demanding their salaries: Damn you all, don't you know that the salary is an American invention and a Zionist conspiracy! It's normal for the Yemeni people to die of hunger and thirst, and the salary has become a Zionist conspiracy".

Not to forget that they are mostly drug addicts 24/7 high on khat. Not very smart people with zero accomplishments in their 32 year old cursed existence.

KSA will and should destroy any unauthorized Iranian plane approaching Yemen. There have been 2 Iranian plane landings since 2016. The 3rd one should be dawned.

This is Jazan (live from 30 minutes ago) next to the Yemeni border.

As peaceful as usual.

I've seen Iranians in this thread acting innocent and defending Houthis against Saudi and passing derisive comments against Pakistan. They should first justify their illegal occupation of Omani territorial waters and then raise fingers at Saudi bombing houthis to prevent the closure of Bab-Al-Mandab strait. What is good for gander should be good for gease too. They are suggesting Pakistan to stay out of Houthis matter but shouldn't Iranians stay out of Houthis matter too as it doesn't concern them? They have a war to defend from USA/Israel. Concentrate on that first instead of suggesting Pakistan what to do and what not do I guess.

AnsarAllah will defend 75% of the Yemeni population. 75% of Yemeni population live in areas controlled by AnsarAllah.

Nothing prevents KSA from removing US forces (when that will no longer suit KSA) just like it occurred after 1991 and prior to the Iraq invasion in 2003.

And, for as long as US forces operate from Saudi bases, and Saudi provides refueling/logistical support to US forces, Iran has the right under the law of warfare under international law to target those very Saudi bases and to destroy both the US assets on those bases and anything that is used to support US operations against Iran. The fact that Saudi is providing its bases to the US for use, makes the Saudi's a co-belligerent / active party to the conflict. Saudi, therefore loses any sense of "neutrality" to the conflict since a neutral state must not provide military bases, airspace, or direct operational support to a belligerent nation.

Therefore Saudi providing those bases are lawful military objectives for Iran to target and destroy. Iran has the right under international law to use necessary and proportionate force in self-defense to neutralize the threat coming from Saudi territory.

This same right for Iran applies to Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE. None of these countries are neutral in this conflict.

These same co-belligerent countries, do have the right to respond to attacks on their civilian targets as they are not lawful targets for Iran to attack.

Iran's legal rights extend further afield ( though whether Iran wants or should to avail itself of its legal rights are a different matter ! ).

More Iranian delusion and nonsense. Make that less than 50%. Houthis have nothing to do with the Iranian regime (wannabe Arab Mullahs who act more Arab than Arabs themselves) other than using the Iranian regime as their own personal piggy bank. Iran has gained nothing from their fruitless support and Houthis mostly watched in silence when Iran was carpet bombed by US, Arabs and Israel.

Why should Pakistan withdraw from this pact?

Just to be safe side - it is getting worst every week slowly. The huge benefit right now is Israel and they want to see Saudi, Iran, Yemen, Egypt, Emirates, Kuwait, etc are fighting, can we see it clearly?

What should Pakistan do? We need to unite all of these great people together.

I don't care about that and I am happy that KSA/GCC is providing staging grounds to target the Iranian regime and actively targeting and bombing Iran itself on a daily basis.

Too bad for Iran that they cannot do much to stop KSA from doing just that and too bad that they cannot hit (either they are incapable or afraid) of targeting anything in KSA of note for now 5 months. Despite KSA being the main staging ground in the attacks on Iran.

That is only normal given that the Iranian regime has actively been supporting anti-KSA/anti-Arab terrorist militias and proxies prior to this war and meddled opportunistically in war-torn Arab countries where they have no business and where they are largely very unwanted and disliked.

Iran actively supported Houthi attacks on KSA for years so now KSA is actively supporting US and Arab strikes on Iran. Fair game, I say.

Same Iranian regime that started the hostilities in 1979 by trying to export their backward "revolution" to KSA/GCC and the Arab world by large which they luckily failed with spectacularly.

And as usual Arabs will come out of this on the top like throughout all of recorded history while Iran will remain a failed, impoverished and sanctioned (likely also largely destroyed) entity with great internal divisions.

Don't forget that the Iranian regime had to kill 1000's of their own protestors back in January. That should tell you everything about the ground realities.

Pakistan will support KSA as usual (the right and most clever choice judging by history). KSA will be fine (as usual). You signed a defense agreement with KSA, not Iran. So the actual leaders of Pakistan and the military knows what to do in this regard. Rest is irrelevant noise.

Good - so, let's stop the talk of Saudi having some 'moral high ground' in this conflict, it clearly does not.. It is involved in the same naked war of conflict and control that it accuses Iran of, and the only thing on the table is who is more successful at it. Both countries are equally as ugly as each other in stoking conflict in the middle east.
