Pakistan can take care of the Indians we don't need anyone else jumping in on our behalf

But Saudi and other allies could cover, fuel, war costs in time of war and diplomatic support


The main part of this is direct funding for Pakistani projects

I'm not sure about UAE but GCC can find both joint projects and purchases for extra equipment to safeguard the GCC

Looks like Saudis are worried given that all their defence eggs are in the US / Wests basket & they just saw how that worked out for Qatar.
They’re also well aware of what Pakistan with comparatively ridiculous resources did to India when it tried something from Israel’s play book.
Especially with the FMarshal present, Pakistan will have assured them that it can help develop & maintain a reliable defence against any adventurism, in return for the mutual defence pact & suitable finance. Explains the urgent invite and F-15 reception. Very good move for both countries.

Interesting, they have invested a lot of FDI in India. Also a lot of Indians work there.

Now I'm curious how this would actually work out. Saudi is pretty far from here and it's not like they'll maintain airbases in Pakistan.

Is this deal meant to leverage Pakistan nukes as a cover? Or pakistan will have physical bases in Saudi. Now there's the US angle too.
This is a double edged sword to be honest. Israel will have the caucus belli then to hit Pak proper and won't PAF be stretched considering its already at war readiness with IAF?I

Saudi Arabia has significant investments in India, I don't think they will intervene but It’s possible they offered to help fund defence projects or provide financial backing for new toys, and we agreed to support the Kingdom’s security. To avoid the impression of a sell out, it was presented as a joint defence pact.

FDI means little when it comes to national security, history proves it. China and India trade over $130 billion annually, yet Beijing arms Pakistan with missiles, submarines, and even aircraft often on soft loans. China and Japan trade more than $300 billion, but still face off over disputed islands and would probably be at War, if taiwan crisis falls out.

Economic ties don’t override defense treaties ; when survival are at stake, investments are expendable. That’s why Saudi Arabia signed a binding mutual defense pact with Pakistan, because in a real crisis, it values Pakistan’s military partnership far more than FDI in India.

bruh the indians did to pak what israel did to qatar but 10x worse... indian missiles were flying into our airspace and we could do little to stop them... this has to be a joke

To me(and my conspiracy minded brain), my thoughts that are flowing around in my brains right now are as follows but i need a few days to digest everything to see if i am "thinking a pile of sh*t" on this all :

1) The Americans want to leave the middle east and focus on China in the east. They have been trying for years, but keep getting dragged back in.
2) Americans need someone who can be a security facilitator/organiser and knows what they are doing professionally ( Pakistan fits that bill ). They need some who can help the Arabs look after themselves. The contenders were Pakistan, Turkiye and Egypt for this in reality. They are the real military powers in the muslim world. Pakistan has good relations with all parties and has "no axe" to grind in the middle east, the other players of Egypt/Turkiye have both ego's and decades of axes to grind against each other. Most people view Pakistan as a neutral.
3) India foresaw this happening, and did Sindoor to try and discredit Pakistan because it wanted to be the security provider for the middle east. It tried, and failed militarily to suppress Pakistan, and the Arabs can see they are a bit of a joke now. Israel tried to help militarily through "supplies", and "advisors" for those supplies. Pakistan beat both India's and Israel's plans..
4) The choice of Pakistan works for both China, and USA. Pakistan has good relations with both.
5) Relations with Iran are getting alot lot better. They seem to figured out they need Pakistan's help to rebuild their military and in particular, their air force. Pakistan was one of the few countries to stand by Iran during the attacks, and that wont be lost on Iran.
6) Middle east does not see Iran as a threat to them now, it is Israel.

I expect more countries will come on Pakistan's side in the near future. Pakistan may be able to create a "MATO" - Muslim Alliance Treaty Organisation ...l

ALL these countries are in the american camps, they buy all their shit from the americans. Yeah its a little too fucking late to switch now. China is a smart country, with smart and nationalist leadership. They will never sell their technology to any country where they know or suspect it can get sabotaged or compromised by the western agents/stooges. I find it laughable when people say oh these countries should buy jet from China. Pretty simple concept but most people just dont get it, they think its all just money and buy whatever.

DUBAI, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia and nuclear-armed Pakistan have signed a formal mutual defense pact, Pakistani state television said on Wednesday, in a move that significantly strengthens a decades-long security partnership.

"This agreement, which reflects the shared commitment of both nations to enhance their security and to achieving security and peace in the region and the world, aims to develop aspects of defense cooperation between the two countries and strengthen joint deterrence against any aggression. I support this latest development despite the fact that Saudis are looking for able partner who can defend them form the aggression of Israel.

Saudis won’t come to help if Pakistan and India engage in another conflict but they can support us financially…

Doesn't seem fair, they want Pakistanis to sacrifice their lives for them but will only pay us financial for support. Real defence agreement is like Israel and Usa one, Usa will defend Israel with finance and boots on the ground, Israel although not needed will help militarily and financially.

How are they even remotely comparable? We shot down at least 4 of the attacking aircraft and did hit back even if it was more of a tap. Even a token retaliation is far better than doing nothing.

Little is bit of an overstatement, they launched atleast 35 cruise missiles about around 10 managed to hit something and I doubt the rest missed because of bad accuracy or something.
