Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

It's Babra Sharif and the Sheikh with his chequebook giving her a pen to write whatever number while he - - nevermind.

Saudis have over US$ 1 trillion sitting in their sovereign wealth fund. If they give us a blank cheque they can do whatever they want.

we should Definity expect increase in terrorist activity in pakistan , we just placed ourselves in Israeli crosshairs and we are a very easy target for mossad .

An economically strong Pakistan is now in the strategic security interests of Saudia Arabia as that is what is required for Pakistan to be able to buy weapons. Saudia Arabia is now tied to hip of Pakistans economy.

Saudia should or will I hope redirect actual investments into Pakistan now ..
I think the Saudis will want control over what they investment in, the Chinese as well in CPEC. Corruption is too rife in Pak and to ensure the money is spent properly some system of accountability needs setting up.

The other important thing is militancy and terrorism needs to be eradicated, this could spike as im sure Paks esteem neighbour will find terror as a better way to weaken Pak than direct military confrontation.

Chowkidari ka naya contract hai , retired faujioun ko sab sai ziyada faida hoga. Raheel Sharif is making good money in Saudi and Ahmed Shuja Pasha in UAE. Others want in on the action. Aur kuch naheen.

This is a significant step that should have been taken long ago; nonetheless, it is very welcome. We should now sign similar agreements with all GCC states their financial resources can be leveraged to expand and modernize our fighting capability. Doing so would allow us to increase the size of our armed forces substantially, deploy a major contingent to GCC countries, and work alongside our partners to train and conduct regular exercises that sharpen combat readiness across the region.

At the same time, we must prepare to confront the principal threat head on: Israel. Either we take the initiative, or they will bring the conflict to us; a clash between the two sides appears increasingly inevitable. To strengthen deterrence and operational reach, we must invest in capacity building: increase our strategic arsenal, accelerate development of ICBMs and SLBMs, expand the air force, and induct modern destroyers and nuclear submarines. Finally, recognize that this contract will not be well received in Israel we have now signaled our intentions openly, so we must be ready for a response and ready to act decisively.

Saudi Arabian oil has no shortage of buyers, not least India. You overestimate the importance of the Indian market.

Furthermore, given Saudi Arabia's influence in OPEC and Indians' reliance on the Middle Eastern labor market, India likely wouldn't dare to provoke Saudi Arabia.
This is a great coup from Pakistan, basically India abandoned Iran, quietly stop buying Russian oil, supported Israel vocally thereby alienating the Arabs and now abandoned by Trump. India seems abit alienated now. Pakistan has the support from China, Mideast, US neutrality as seen from the recent skirmish, Iran now can also see India is practically useless. Once the Wests start to do a pogrom on all the black Indian migrants swarming the Anglo speaking world, it is party time.

The primary goal of the Saudis is to supply their customers with oil. They derive all their wealth from that. India is 3rd largest customer of petroleum (at some point they move to 2nd). No amount of tactical dealings with Pakistan changes that.
do u think you are the only one that uses oil , power is with the seller no the buyer

yar koi chokedari ka pact na nikal aaey :(

Anyway, there is much news it means the pact is for optics. If it has some substance, then it wd be strategic to keep it a priority and quiet.
Sometimes you have to send a message, no it's not just for public consumption because in fact now bringing in public would mean you have to act on it when situation comes. If you would have kept it quite there were chances you could have backed off now you have ended those chances.

All of them are already getting a lot so it's not about that. You don't sign these contracts to do chowkidari. I seriousy hate when people in their political bias completely loose objectivity. I am biggest supporter and advocate of Khan but this contract is huge and is beneficial for both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in defense manner.

I believe that this deal will be good for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and Muslims in general. We don’t have too many details, so we’re just speculating. Here are some random thoughts I have:

1. They call it a mutual defense agreement. However, I think it’s more like the Saudis are hiring the Pakistan military to defend them.

2. Pakistan’s military will benefit from Saudi investment. They can hire more people, increase their own production capacity and buy more stuff from China.

3. The government should also try to fix the economy and invite Saudi and Arab investment. Without fixing internal problems no one will invest.

4. Pakistan now has the potential to attract tens of billions of FDI (foreign direct investment) per year, both from China and Arab countries. However, with mega corrupt politicians like Sharifs and Zardari running the country, no one will invest anything.

5. I was hearing rumors that soon Asim Munir was going to get rid of the Sharifs and Zardari’s. Now, after the royal treatment in Saudi Arabia, it seems like they’re going to stay. There’s little chance of development with these criminals around.

6. The above means that whatever benefits Pakistan gets from the deal with Saudi Arabia will be concentrated on the military field, not the economy.

Saudi Arabia needs buyers who can pay with $$$. Not ones who beg for petroleum on deferred purchase terms. They need buyers who have large populations and who cannot switch out of hydrocarbons easily. As far as India-Saudi Arabia goes, MBS visited India in 2025.
cope and seethe

i hope that retard rots in jail , if he had signed it they would have hailed him as amir ul momineen

Given Saudi Arabia's influence within OPEC, it effectively controls global oil production capacity. Therefore, India lacks the capital to choose suppliers. In other words, when production capacity is controlled, you can buy oil from other countries, but those other countries' former customers will buy from Saudi Arabia. This is similar to the tariff war between China and the US. Because China's production capacity is irreplaceable, it wasn't China that succumbed first.

Oil Production by Country
United States 13,401,000
Saudi Arabia (OPEC) 10,815,700
Russia (OPEC+) 10,750,000
Canada 5,500,000
China 4,715,000
Iraq (OPEC) 4,162,000
Iran (OPEC) 4,084,000
United Arab Emirates (OPEC) 3,770,000
Brazil (OPEC+) 3,630,000
Kuwait (OPEC) 2,720,000
Norway 2,026,000
Mexico (OPEC+) 1,905,500

Saudis are the still the largest low cost producer. But the Saudis do not control USA, Canada, Russia, China, Norway,. Iran and Mexico
