Here’s what happened today​

Here is a recap of today’s events:

• Several members of the security services, including personnel of the Pakistani rangers, have been killed, since Monday, the government says.
• The PTI says two protesters were also killed and dozens injured in clashes with security forces today.
• Security forces used tear gas and “automatic fire” at Khan’s supporters who managed to reach D-Chowk in Islamabad’s Red Zone, where most government buildings are located, according to our correspondents.
• Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi says there will be no negotiations with protesters demanding Khan’s release from jail.
• Rights group Amnesty International urges Pakistani authorities to “exercise maximum restraint” in dealing with the protesters.
