Real test will be mass production facilities and ongoing manufacturing and not stopping at one or two hundred units
 
Pakistan’s Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) unveiled two major long-range loitering munitions, the **D-248** and **S-369**, at the 2026 Indus Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Expo, marking the country's largest and furthest-reaching kamikaze drones to date.

• Design: Tailless delta-wing
• Range: 2,200 – 3,000 km
• Payload: 30 – 50 kg (MTOW: 240 kg)
• Wingspan: 3.3 m
• Speed: 185 km/h cruise | 225 km/h max
• Endurance &
Ceiling: 12 – 14 hours | up to 4,500 m altitude

**S-369**
• Design: Arrow-delta wing
• Range: 1,500 – 2,000 km
• Payload: 30 – 50 kg (MTOW: 215 – 225 kg)
• Wingspan: 4.0 m
• Speed: 160 – 180 km/h cruise | 220 km/h max
• Ceiling: up to 4,500 m altitude

Both systems significantly expand long-range precision strike capabilities, combining heavy warhead capacities with high-altitude, long-endurance flight.

Im just saying, back in 2009 when Pakistan was first denied predator drones, i suggested on the original PDF, that Pakistan look into making something like these kamikaze drones. Suggesting that Pakistan could put Bakhtar Shikan on a radio controlled airframe with tv and GPS Guidance where it could then use its rocket powered engine to engage targets. Imagine my consternation that within 10 years they started hitting the battlefield for real.

We don't really know what has or hasnt gone into production. We thought the same of Fatah I but it seems there were a good number to fire at india in 5/2025.

No more than 36 F1s were fired that's the extreme number I am giving you, good number of F1 like rockets mean over a 100-200 should have been fired. It's not that we did not want to fire that many, we did wanted to but the total numbers were limited I would say we didn't even had more than 200 in service in May 2025. Things were even more desperate for F2, where not a single F2 was fired.

I believe PA fired F1s against Iran also again in numbers below 10.
But yes, Production remains a serious bottleneck for Pakistani defence industry.

They working in the right direction, 1000km rang is ticked we need mass production of longer range Drones and missiles.

The fact that they can prototype and study so many different designs, shows a good level of confidence in these emerging technologies for Pakistan, and that in itself is a good sign to me.
 
So where is the shortfall here, is it $$$? Hard to imagine given relatively low cost of Shahed style drones and likely relaticely low cost of Fatah-1/2 style rockets. Its it facility and space? Again hard to imagine. Is it train/manpower? Or is it pure planning and idiocy?

LMs are being adopted across the board. Not sure about these specific HIT designs, but the intent is on point -- i.e., up to 3,000 km reach and a mix of piston-powered and jet-powered solutions. IIRC some have already entered mass production (Sysverve's Mudamir-series), while others (Woot-Tech HiMark-25/TJ and Nimbus2K) are undergoing trialing. PA also displayed the Sarfarosh miniature CM too last year.

Many of us saw and thought that 14+ years ago

I was amazed when Ukrainians used the truck and killed Russia's strategic fleet. (11+ years old). Somehow, the Russians envisioned that, but the small scale was hard to imagine.

Introducing ATTED: Medium-Range Loitering Munition

Pakistan’s NaqCoDE Technologies has developed ATTED, a lightweight medium-range loitering munition designed to provide precision-strike capability against targets at both tactical and extended ranges.

According to company specifications, ATTED can conduct precision engagements using an electro-optical seeker and datalink, allowing the target area to be observed and terminal guidance to be refined during the mission. In this configuration, the system offers a datalink range of up to 80 km and a claimed accuracy of less than 2 meters CEP.

For longer-range missions, ATTED can also be launched against pre-designated GNSS coordinates on a fire-and-forget basis, extending its maximum strike range to up to 250 km. For these engagements, NaqCoDE claims an accuracy of less than 5 meters CEP.

The system has a maximum takeoff weight of under 19 kg and carries a 4 kg configurable blast-fragmentation warhead. It offers an endurance of more than two hours, cruises at approximately 130 km/h, and can reach a maximum dive speed of around 190 km/h.

ATTED also incorporates four-channel anti-jamming GNSS, with an optional anti-spoofing capability. The complete system includes a pneumatic launcher, Ground Control Station, and indigenously developed software.

The platform highlights Pakistan’s growing indigenous capabilities in unmanned systems, precision strike, and loitering-munition technologies.
