If it hasn't happened already, it is very close to happen. The TTP are going to use this mortar on quad thing against PA. We better have good countermeasures for these things. They are extremely low on the tech ladder these days and entirely within the TTP's reach.
Jammers are there - but sitting in display cases or opportunists are wasting opportunities to apply proper marketing in even talking to arabs and others.

So at the end, you will see the TTP drone drops there but the greater threat is when they take that and go to an urban area and drop it.

There is NO way(whether through capability or competence) for LE in Pakistan to trace a drone if it drops a grenade in Saddar rawalpindi and where it goes.

I think the biggest threat would be when they drop it on aircrafts in air bases, airports, or target other sensitive (read nuclear) facilities. We are not even remotely ready. Cant even cope with an enemy with thermal scopes.

PAF is setting up a local business, centered at Kamra with locations all across Pakistan, as a joint-venture with Chinese manufacturers, with the sole purpose of producing loitering munitions. Lots of hiring for that.
So NORINCO with Loitering Dragon LM family is already in, would we will be making rest of there products too? Also any idea who the other chinese manufacturers are.

I only know of one:
but I was told this is only a "front" website and that this company makes munitions that have been exported to middle east and Ukraine. I think they are talking to several manufacturers.

The video has the CETC one which is much smaller variant. While PAF has NORINCOs solution

Two different systems. CETC one shown in the beginning (48 round tubes), NORINCO one shown later with 18 square tubes. 18 LM swarm size.

Really happy that LMs are being given the importance. I also hope, they have swarming capability.
