Depending on how soon this ends - and how heads of state in ME react to Pakistani not listening to them immediately and laying down arms... it is possible that HAF will have more time to learn from PAF in ME exercises on what worked in such an environment.

It might be time for the ME regimes to have an in-depth review of their policies, which they have been cutting us in many places. Their selfish policies have cost the region and Pakistan specifically dearly in terms of human resources, capital, and any potential geo-political unity.

I think they should admire Pakistan for standing against a powerful fully-equipped enemy and giving it a bloody nose. Nobody should underestimate Pakistan.

This actually happens? That's news. I didn't know. I thought we usually just exercised with Arabs,Americans and the Indians who were eager to show their "friendship" with patches

The MiG-21 was available to the latter in test numbers only, but there were seas of Canberra, Hunter, Mystere etc. The Pakistani F-86F Sabres swept them all (and the much superior Hunter!), the B-57B Canberra hit the Indian air bases without any problems, while the few F-104As really pinned down the Indian Air Force (even with OCA missions, with the M61s mowing down the parked Indian aircraft).

In 1971, India took revenge with a sweeping superiority of its air force in numbers and quality of types (seas of MiG-21FL, Su-7BMK, the local supersonic Marut, the super-maneuverable British Gnat / Ajeet and of course seas of Hunter & Canberra).

At the same time, and despite the wholehearted support of the American air escort in Karachi, the legendary Brigadier General Chuck Yeager, the US had completely abandoned Pakistan, with the B-57B & F-104A suffering from shortages of weapons, spare parts and necessary upgrades.

The few newly received Mirage IIIEs were used by Pakistan exclusively in strike missions, while the Chinese J-6s (MiG-19 with AIM-9) began in their old age, ten years after the type was withdrawn from the Greek Air Force, to write their history as the best air superiority fighter (except the Lightning of course…) of the pre-teen series era, prevailing over the Indian MiG-21 & Su-7, but with the weight of numbers determining the outcome.

From a certain point on, the basic Mirage III, J-6 & J-7 (MiG-21) types were maintained, manufactured and rebuilt locally, the J-7 & Mirage IIIs with excellent Italian pulse-doppler radars FIAR Grifo, Marconi HUD and AIM-9L.

With F-16As, the Pakistani Fizaya swept the Soviet VVS and its MiG-23MLDs on the Afghan border, without losses, easily repeating Israel's triumph over Syria in 1982 in Lebanon (but against the USSR!!).

The well-wishers of “Chinese superweapons” forget that TODAY Fizaya has F-16C/D Block 52+ Adv with AIM-120C5 AMRAAM, coordinated by the top Erieye!

Over time, Fizaya has been sending seasoned pilots (supposedly “mercenaries”, in reality based on interstate agreements) to the Sunni monarchies of the Gulf, and especially to the UAE, but only for French types (Mirage 2000-5/9 and Rafale), as the US does not allow Pakistanis to fly with the UAE’s F-16E/F Block 60 Desert Falcon.

Pakistan gives these rich air forces what they lack (choice flying personnel) and receives fighters in return whenever it finds itself in a war (it happened in 1971 with the UAE's Mirage III/5 and the Jordanian F-104A).

I have an article in the works on the history of aircraft "loans" in the Middle East, but it will cost the Greeks sleep...

My simple question why is that Martin-Baker not announced a sucessfull ejecion on their site, like they did last time with JF-17 , when you tried to hide! tell whats stoping them?stop daydreaming and smell coffee, FYI.. rafale uses Martin-Bakerk 16F Mar seats.
