Pakistan's leaders dread US Democrats win but its households are praying for it

I would suggest the article title is quite misleading.

The journo may herself have meant well - can't be sure, but her editorial team at Reuters probably went hunting for some Delhi-pleasing copenomics where there clearly wasn't any present in the actual content of the article, and hence put forward this clickbait title.

Your personalised commentary mentions "surprising accuracy". How can this be so if there is a fundamental discordance between the title and the content of the article? I would have thought the opposite holds true.
It was suprising only because many prior Reuters' stories from Pakistan-based reporters seemed to have been dictated by the boys in Aabpara.

Regardless of whether surprising or not, how can you claim it is "accurate" if the title and the content are discordant?
I never said they were. I only pointed out that forum rules precluded the use of any other thread title irrespective of the content of the article.

Well, passage of Pakistan Democracy Act, which has bipartisan support, is now much more likely. Once Congress opens investigations into and exposes shady side deals for Trump, Witkoff and their friends and families, veto will be a lot more difficult.
Foreign policy is the POTUS's exclusive domain. Congress can't pass bills that affect foreign policy, except for funding. If passed, it would be symbolic only.

It has to be said, the Democrats are traditionally closer to Hindustan. Even though Modi toadies show affection towards the Republicans for hating Muslims. This was predicted from the very beginning. As soon as the Democrats hold power in the US, expect full agitation, anger and hostility towards Pakistan. Also expect the same targeting of Pakistani nuclear and missile program.

Foreign policy belongs to Trump. Thr Democrats will throw spanners in the work. No doubt about that.

Notice how El-Sayed their Muslim poster boy has an Indian wife. He has already gone on record saying Pakistan should not get US funding and questioned the legitimacy of its leadership. Disrespectful piece of shit.

Wow. Didn't even know that.

Democrats are truly truly pieces of shit. An anti-Pakistan hub.

You live in the US. By any chance have you noticed Congress be it Republican or Democrat have no issues cuddling up with foreign governments to cut backroom deals and garner influence?

John Kerry, who should have been in the brig for what he did, as a private citizen was in violation of the Logan Act.

Nothing happened.

Like @K2RULEZ , I was not aware El-Sayed is married to an Indian.

Now, it should be noted her family's religious background is Muslim. It is not known if she herself is a practicing Muslim.
