Cimu, a Tibetan girl, met a Japanese documentary maker, a meeting that changed her path.
A visit to Shanghai opened her eyes to new possibilities and inspired her journey into the hospitality business.
Today, she runs her own hotel business, carrying stories from the mountains to the city and back again.

The Real Cook: The main character, a debt-ridden Chinese chef named Xu Fu (played by Shen Teng), is loosely inspired by real-life Chinese restaurateurs—such as Chen Xianzhong—who actually ran restaurants in Baghdad during times of conflict, like the Gulf War and the Iraq War, and experienced being trapped in the crossfire.
