P.s. AIPAC is going fully MAGA; Mike Johnson didn’t even meet with Gantz, it should indicate those in the know are betting that Trump will win in January. Something to keep in mind with Trump recently asking about “his friend” Khan, not long after the election.

She is a neocon and her husband was/is in charge of the project for the New American Century. Listen to what she says about elections, helping out candidates “forward”, probably who backed Bilawal, the self professed lead orchestrator of the vote of no confidence.

If it took 35 years for these politicians to understand that what they thought was a tiger, is donkey, You guess how much time it would take for a common patwari to understand this ?

What a fantastic interview. Such a candid and to the point discussion.
3 takeaways:
1. It is the youth bulge against which hasn't seen any good time (<45 is 70%). They want change.
2. PTI may not lose momentum as seen in the past 2 years, so this govt is not viable.
3. Even Benzair asked to stop aid to Pak and tried to mobilize the diaspora. In short they are the key.

BTW Pakistanis are protesting tomorrow in front of teh IMF office.

PTI-SIC names Omar Ayub as NA leader of opposition

The PTI-Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) alliance has formally nominated Omar Ayub Khan for the leader of the opposition by submitting his documents to the office of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

The nomination papers were submitted by Malik Amir Dogar in the presence of SIC supremo Sahibzada Hamid Raza, MNAs Ali Mohammad Khan, Riaz Fatyana, Dr Nisar Ahmad Jatt and others.

While talking to Dawn, Dr Jatt, who defeated PML-N’s stalwart Rana Sanaullah in general elections, said: “All the members supported by the PTI have signed the nomination papers.

“As per my information, Mehmood Khan Achakzai has also signed the document. However, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl and Balochistan National Party-Mengal have not signed it.”

By not signing the documents for Ayub’s nomination, the JUI-F and BNP-M will be under no legal obligation to boycott any session of the National Assembly on the call of opposition leader.

Responding to a question, Dr Jatt expressed the hope that Ayub would become the opposition leader in the NA through nomination, instead of election, on March 13 or 14

PTI to ‘merge’ with Sunni Ittehad Council if ECP returns electoral symbol: Asad Qaiser

PTI to ‘merge’ with Sunni Ittehad Council if ECP returns electoral symbol: Asad Qaiser
Former National Assembly speaker says party to adopt "confrontation" as future strategy.

PTI leader Asad Qaiser on Friday said his party would “merge” with the Sunni Ittehad Council if the Election Commission of Pakistan accepted its recent intra-party polls and returned its electoral symbol of ‘bat’.

In January, after back-and-forth verdicts by the ECP and the Peshawar High Court (PHC), the PTI’s electoral symbol ultimately was revoked by the Supreme Court.

On March 3, the PTI conducted its intra-party elections for the third time in the past two years, following its Dec 2 elections that were earlier declared invalid.

A day ago, the Peshawar High Court upheld the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to reject the party allocation of reserved women and minority seats.

The dismissal of its plea challenging the ECP verdict has left the SIC — the new home of PTI-backed winning candidates — with no reserved seats. The PTI has said it would take the matter to the Supreme Court.

Speaking on Dawn News show ‘Doosra Rukh’ that will be aired at 5pm today, when asked whether PTI-backed candidates who joined the SIC would remain in it, Qaiser said, “Yes, we will remain but we will also merge with it.”

YASMIN : PTI Central Punjab President Dr Yasmin Rashid says incumbent rulers have rendered the courts a laughing stock by denying meetings with Imran Khan, despite repeated court instructions.

In a written and signed statement issued on Thursday, Dr Rashid highlighted that lawlessness has reached unprecedented levels.

The PTI leader said that mobile and internet services were suspended under the pretext of combating terrorism, enabling historic rigging in the Feb 8 general elections. Dr Rashid noted that when the Rawalpindi division commissioner exposed mass rigging in the elections, the government suspended the X service to quell public backlash. As of now, the X service has yet to be restored.

Incarcerated PTI Central President Parvez Elahi says the ban on meetings in Adiala Jail is unconstitutional.

He told reporters on his appearance in the FIA court of Lahore that the PTI would protest nationwide until the return of its mandate, all the opposition parties would be seen on one platform very soon against election rigging.
