That is why one must accept the stranglehold the military has, while working towards changing the system from within slowly, as well as investing in education and health of the people.
It is nice to think that if everybody keeps their heads down and work together with our Fauji overlords, that we may see progress in quality of life. More education and health for the common man, as you say.
But why should our army do that? It threatens them directly. The reason army can control Pakistan so easily is that to even give ISSB you need to at least have done FSc/A Levels. Meanwhile our politicians are jahil landlords (yes some of them go abroad to study but they mostly party) .
It is counterintuitive for Army to invest in education and healthcare of a young population. With the literacy and awareness will come questions that cannot be answered by ISPR music videos and dramas or by the broken English of a DG ISPR. Once that happens then they will find it hard to hold onto power.
