First of all, I am of the view that not a single criminal should be allowed to run away from the justice and avoid punishment. Imran Ahmed Khotakhail has not spent the full imprisonment time yet. The legal process for even more serious crimes are in the pipeline. So, he is expected to be sentenced in multiple more cases. How can you get him off the hook in all those cases?

Just for the sake of argument, if executive somehow gets this convicted criminal out of jail 'in the special circomstances and national interest',
do you think he will play a constructive role in the national politics? Unfortunately he will not.

Imran Ahmed Khotakhail's whole politics is based on deep hatred towards all other political parties and leaders because that's what he was taught and trained by his successive mentors. He has lived on the shortcomings of others rather than his own achievements (btw, zero achievements).

He used to call Bajwa 'qaom ka baap' and then turned against not just Bajwa but the whole military as an institution. All his actions since his disgraceful ouster from power are aimed at disgracing military into grovel and submission to him. The psychopath thinks he can do that. In the process he is willing to keep harming the national fabric and destroying the institutions, and even harming the state itself. It's not without a reason that Indians find their allies in the ranks of yo*thias. It's quite clear now that his strings are being moved from out of Pakistan.

If freed, don't expect him to sit down with other political leaders. Even Achakzai and Maulana Fazalur Rahman, that he is kissing their feet these days, he used to disgrace them in public addresses. He will do the same if he is set free again. Not a single political party of some worth is willing to work with him or trust him.

I think more than enough damage has already been caused to the nation-state of Pakistan by this ugly internal enemy. It's the time to let the law strictly take its own course to deal with the mess. As the political activities on the ground and results of recent by-elections show, PTI is no more a major actor in the country. People are not fools. They see all the negative politics of PTI and so have rejected the repeated calls and appeals of sit-ins made from jail by the convicted criminal.

brother go easy there.

the internet citizen of PTI don't take criticism of Imran Khan very well. my university professor Haider Mehdi(now in Canada) found that out despite being a leading pro PTI/ Imran voice .. his family , kids including females were degraded on social media. I have that conversation on our timeline on X.

PTI bet on the losing horse, had Gen Faiz plans worked out then PTI would've continued to praise the military. our establishment is not noble either, Nawaz hates the generals and has said and done things that could've jeopardized his own brother but he somehow got distracted and his brother has managed to survive as of this post today.

as for by election results, they always favor the ruling parties and never help the party that is at odds with establishment.

finally, the politics across the globe is a dirty business, enemy of my enemy is my friend and if the country its people and even my supporters go down then so be it. Nawaz talked about Musharraf backstabbing India and him due to Kargil war, same India that had violated Shimla accord and sneaked in troops into Siachin... and then we have the god fathers of democracy the PPP, hijacking our national airliners and announcing that they will come on Indian tanks to take out Gen Zia and reclaim Pakistan.

And then we have PTI, although I have developed a very thick skin over the years but receiving public private messages on social media and forums insulting my parents and degrading my female members of the family is not something I look forward to. the PTI leadership supports this behavior and is proud of it and states that if their opponents cant take the "criticism" (they call insulting mothers & daughters and threatening kids of their opponents criticism).

as I wrote earlier, this political discourse is benefitting the enemies of the state. while the KP Chief minister is bullying federal government and establishment while the police, KP civilians and military personnel are being killed by TTP on regular basis in his province and only a freed Imran has the charisma and charm to convince Taliban to stop attacking KP province that has voted PTI back to back so many times.

Does that mean no one should call a spade a spade just because PTI goons come after the one, one's family, and children? Getting intimidated by filthy trolls is no option, my brother.

Faiz is an evil. He would have toppled this utterly brainless dude because it was actually Faiz who was managing all support to this PTI government. He would have removed the PTI government and put the Imran Ahmed Khotakhail in jail had he treated Faiz the way he treated Bajwa (who is a coward).

No sir, that's not really true. PTI lost all (literally all) by-elections held during the more than three and a half years of PTI rule.

Indian Bajpai's Lahore visit, I believe, was probably the best opportunity for peace between Pakistan and India. This was the first time that Indians (and that too under the BJP government) were willing to co-exist with Pakistanis. The opportunity was lost. BJB later started aggressively following the Hindutva goal of Akhand Bharat.

Sir, one has to remove the dead body from the well before one starts removing water to clean it.

I know you are being sarcastic. You know my stance. I support Imran Khan on many things. I have always had a difference with Imran Khan with regards to Afghanistan. Afghanistan is an enormous problem and Pakistan is tackling it very well at the moment. Imran Khan needs to change his stance on Afghanistan.

How can anyone seriously claim that Imran Khan is destroying Pakistan’s economy while he’s locked inside a jail cell? People are struggling because jobs are disappearing, opportunities are drying up, and families are losing hope. Crime is rising because desperation is rising. So many young Pakistanis dream of leaving not because they don’t love their country, but because they feel trapped with no future.

And yet, the irony is painful, those who hold all the power blame Imran Khan for everything, while they themselves show little urgency or concern for fixing the economy.

could have just said he is in solitary for not abiding by the terms of his arrest ie politics behinds bars .
Then why I don’t see any court case against IK where he was sentenced to not do any politics anymore? 🙄
And if the real issue with IK is why he does politics, then what’s even the point of having so many court cases against him? 🤦‍♂️
