What a fascinating thought.

Is this why the Saudis were so offended at IK's overtures to Turkey and Malaysia that they called their aircraft back to offload IK in NYC?

He was working to form a non-arab Muslims bloc but had to cave in due to economic shortcomings.

Okay, so knowing Pakistan's economic dependence on America (plus American allies) and on the GCC Arabs, which sane Pakistani leader would jeopardize such relationships to risk with countries like Malaysia, Tukey and Indonesia especially if those new relationships could come at the expense of the far more lucrative existing relationships?
You give too much credit to Imran Khan. You non-Pakistanis have simply not dug enough into his personal and political life enough to form an opinion which would be beneficial to the tens of millions of Pakistanis who would be very adversely affected by Imran's wrong choices.
And, Oh, those expats in America and their wisdom: Always beware of such people as they don't have much to lose unlike the tons of millions of Pakistanis and such expats are usually in some 'expansive' mode of thinking about Pakistan.

You can continue to be dependant on other nations for your economic support or work towards self sufficiency. Pakistan has the resources and man power but lacks wisdom. You need a bold leader to achieve what seems not achievable.

Malaysia was poor when Pakistan was established in 47. They used to send their students to study in Pakistan.

Today Malaysia is many years ahead of Pakistan because of Mahathir Muhammad.

I may be non-pakistani but send money to Pakistan every month for social cause. I have been following IK since 90's when he used to play cricket.

I don't recall you or his critics questioning his loyalty built and operationalize a world class cancer Hospital or leave behind luxurious 1st class British lifestyle to work for the betterment of Pakistan.

Give him the credit where it's due. It will not cost you a dime for recognizing his contribution for Pakistan.

I can't think of any other party's leadership and its followers repeatedly volunteering to do what is basically suicide attacks!
And yet, not a single person associated with PTI / IK has ever done any terrorist attack to this date. But your Bughz-e-Imran still continues unabated! 🙄

A wiser man would know that building an economy must come before any bloc building, one would think.

Wanting to run before one can walk usually does not end well.

Or Mr. 'Know it all' @VCheng could learn a thing or two from history on how poor & developing countries got together and created the second largest bloc after the UN 🇺🇳:

Those of you supporting current setup backed by establishment are dishonest and not true welll wishers of Pakistan.

It's impossible to achieve comprehensive development for a country when the base of that country is standing on regetty foundation supported by weak materials.

Comparing apples and oranges: Social work is done by many in Pakistan and on far larger scale and with less media exposure then Imran ever did. Imran and his party had been calling to stop IMF loans approval to Pakistan, for sanctions against Pakistan, for stopping remittances to Pakistan, calling for civil disobedience etc etc. His social work decades ago don't wash away his much more recent attempts to destroy the Pakistani economy.
And I am not even addressing the alleged cases of corruption by the likes of Ms. Gogi who ran away when she saw Imran's fall coming.
You really don't know much about Pakistani domestic situation just like I don't know much about Bangaldesh's and I tend to stay away from BD concerns. There IS a BD guy in my circle here and probably is a Mujib supporter from what I can tell but his opinion won't convince me as I have come to suspect the opinions of many expats in the West.

Sell out maulvis. @Al-Zakir If you understand Urdu, you will understand. These are the same people who won't let a real Muslim leader rise, as it hurts their comfort zone. The same class exist in politics etc, but it mustn't be in theocratic circles.

As if you know anything "better" when your only source of information for Pakistan’s domestic situation is anti-IK / anti-PTI DAWN newspaper. 🙄

It is quite a leap from a being a successful cricket Captain to a prolific fundraiser for cancer care hospitals to being a PM with caliph dreams on top.

IK's previous efforts and their successes are undeniable, but they are by no means a bar to recognizing all his disastrous failures as PM.

Looking at only one or the other aspect is misleading.

It’s not a war zone. In politics, if you fail the first time, you get another chance and try again. The likes of Zardaris and Nawaz keep getting installed in power over & over again. But IK can’t even get one another chance because he made "mistakes" as PM of Pakistan? 🙄

I respect your call out and I'm okay with your assumption. Since, I'm not a Pakistani, I must not know anything about your country even though you know nothing about my background or affiliation. Lets agree to disagree, and move on.
