The good news is that Gandupur is establishment tattu just like Buzdar was. In fact all of PTI in KP is basically establishment tattus. Those who are not are underground.

Oh you were talking about establishment's tattu's ??
LMAO!

and don't forget Nawaz sharif was produced in dictators Zia-ul-haq's laps.
Zia installed him as CM of punjab.

fast forward 2022. Entire Power of the state / miiltary was used to pave the way for Shahbaz LOL.... and you have audacity enough to see anywhere else for REAL estabilshment's "tattus".

2001 to 2018: PEAK Terrorism.
2018 to 2021: Most peaceful tenure ever
2021/22 onwards: Again terror attacks risen.

Everyone needs to remember these dates. Let's not be FOOLS and accuse a person for ttp or terrorists when he wasn't even in power. Why is that whenever military dictators come in power or their puppets like N-league the terror rises ??

Nawaz sharif is a product of General Zia's laps. All the jihadification / terror network is initiated during that time period. Miiltary dictators & N-league always go hand in hand. They realy don''t care about after effects or collaterals or anything. Their worst policies are real devastation for our country
Learn some history before posting such nonsense
1. "2001 to 2018: PEAK Terrorism."
War in Afghanistan , Nek Muhammad of Wazirstan Assembles a large laskher ( possibly 5,000-8000) without consent of the state and marches in Afghanistan, gets slaughter by ISAF. Those fighters come back and later form TTP in Waziristan and TNSM in Swat and impose shariah in FATA, killing innocent people and terrorising the region.

2. "2018 to 2021: Most peaceful tenure ever"
Thats because Zarb-azb had just ended a year before, with over 200,000 operations and displacement of TTP to Afghanistan. Their network was severly weakened. In 2018, IK has disagreements with bajwa, Instead of launching another large operation and taking out TTP once and for all, a smaller muted operation is launched. Which gives time for TTP to reorganize and rebuild its leadership cadre.

Another crucial point is that after the fall of Kabul, Faiz Hameed struck a deal with the Taliban to negotiate peace with the TTP. As part of this, TTP militants were allowed back into Pakistan, while the flow of refugees surged once again. Instead of peace, the TTP regrouped, rebuilt their strength, and unleashed a devastating wave of attacks after 2022.

So basically the reality is actually opposite of what you claim. IK is to be blamed for trusting Faiz Hameed . This disastrous outcome lies squarely on the shoulders of Faiz Hameed and Imran Khan, whose shortsighted, apologetic policy gave space to a group that had already broken every agreement in the past

Bengalis were our own too or not? We made no room to make them Pakistanis. They turned against us ultimately.
Lastly, we made TTP by drone attacks, arming their ancestors, and causing collateral damage. RAW, ISIS exploited this situation and who not.
Keep doing the operation without consensus. See what that yields. If it fails, it will be the fault of everyone from heaven to earth, but not of all wise generals.

Let's get some clarity of thought instead of peddling the age old, debunked propaganda. All the military is doing is creating space for dialogue. If the kinetic actions stop, expect to see re-occupation of Swat and adjoining areas by these Takfiris.

Taliban Khan isn’t a name that came up out if nowhere.
At the that is his vision and you can see it in his choice of spouse as well.
He would happily let Taliban enforce their concept of moral enforcement in Islamabad because in his mind his assumed vision of Riyasat e Madina is what that translates to.

Bolded parts well worth pondering...

Worth pondering also is where he was swayed from a rather balanced spiritual guide out of Gujjar Khan to the Pakistani incarnation of Lady Macbeth meets Melisandre the witch.

General Zia ul Haq was personally a Proto Taliban personality. And in case of Pakistan, the Army Chief's policies decide Pakistan's policies. Had it been an Ayub Khan as the Army Chief cum President in 1979, I doubt the policies would be as extremist as Zia's turned out to be. And Personalities do matter. Even in a 'liberal democracy' like America where Trump is an institution in himself. When will Pakistanis realize that???!!
In short, Pakistan's anti Soviet policies of the 80s, while one could broadly justify them, had a huge influence of the Proto Taliban President General Zia ul Haq and Pakistan is still paying a huge price for them.
But, of course, it suits the Imran Khan fans well to present that as 'the Establishment' policies because their extremely smart Messiah Khan has put that Gospel in their (typically expats) heads!

It is not common to find in my American circle people turning 'religious' in their old age, though there is a German American 'Christian' lady very close in my circle who has turned to be Jewish since her mid 50s--and she is quite weird now, though never offensive.
In case of Pakistan, such cowardice of spirit is quite common: After lifetime of Harampai, tired spirits become the 'born again Muslims'. But that's just cowardice of spirit, borne from the too early ageing, from thwarted lives. I just saw dozens of examples of them in my recent trip to Pakistan: Men and women in their 50s and early 60s, finding solace in 'Islam'. Like the Messiah Khan did.

Doing military operation in this area is futile. A much larger military than our's tried and it failed, because every time the Taliban got weak they would just cross over to Pakistan to recuperate.

The exact same will happen to us as they will use Afghanistan as their recovery zone.

Even making a "buffer zone" or "border fencing" will not help much, as you can see even the US can't stop people from crossing their border and ours is much harder to monitor with less money, less resources.

KPK police did an excellent job during PTI government, let them handle the situation. Police do the excellent job of handling such local elements.

And if nothing is done then you'd see a Swat 2008 in much larger parts of Pakistan. There is no ambiguity in the minds of those who want to impose their 'Shariat' over the rest of Pakistan. But ambiguity lies in the minds of those who discount the terrorists' goals, who, for ethnic or domestic political reasons, indulge the opportunistic views of the Taliban Khan. Or in the minds of those who can't see that the Afghan Jihad of the 80s would have been very different had the Proto Taliban President Zia ul Haq wasn't in power--in the mind of these lazy Imran Khan followers, because the Messiah Khan whisphered 'the Establishment' into thier lazy ears, it was 'the Establishment'. No, it was not. It was the Pro Taliban Zia ul Haq himself who conducted what could have been a rational policy of resistance against the Soviets, like the Iranians did.
But since the Messiah Khan has whispered 'the Establishment', so that must be the Gospel to their lazy ears and brains--much to the joy of Indian PDF members who repeat such BS on PDF. The goals of the Indians and the Imran Khan supporters are different, but the strategy is the same.

Who created the Taliban?
Interior Minister of Benazir Bhutto. He was a army General Naseeruddin babar. Taliban was created to do the country’s dirty work in Afghanistan. Their handlers were all serving or retired ISI officers. And just like the other militant groups they are now out of our control and they are now the enemy.
Who are the TTP?
the same Taliban driven out by the Americans and the Northern Alliance into the FATA badlands where they mixed with the locals through marriage etc and morphed into the TTP.
All the military operations were against them and they were driven back across the border and find sanctuary and are supported by the Taliban regime because they are one and the same.
Every civilian government has signed peace deals with both groups.
So why blame IK only because he overtly comments (rightly or wrongly) about them.
Military operations provide temporary space for the civilian government to be able to Rehabilitate and Reconstruct (R&R) the FATA and every single government has failed in that regard and looked towards the military to do their job.
With the help of UAE the army did the R&R but it was not enough.
The army returned to the barracks and the TTP returned and this vicious cycle continues today.
One step forward and two back.
And that is why IK continues to say that the military operations are not working.
You have got to let the local Jirga system sort their problems. They have been doing it for centuries.
Would you say a well thought out diplomatic, economic, and military strategy, formed by IK and Retd. Gen. Tariq Khan could formulate and execute a plan that set the conditions for a new and permanent “Undersranfing” with the Afghans?

What if that is what the people of Swat want? What will you do then? How is it even possible for Taliban to exist when we have been killing their members nonstop since 2001?

Either they are pouring in from Afghanistan or they are being recruited locally from the very areas you want to defend. Oh and how did this come to be?

Maybe repeated military operations on your own people starts to alienate them?
