If the Taliban posture is being coordinated with India (which may well be the case) the geniuses at the top have truly outdone themselves......

I doubt the part about Taliban troops massing on the border. The Taliban are more likely to just keep sending in cheap drones and continue supporting TTP/BLA and any other troublemaker in Pakistan as payback.

But I agree with everything else you have written. Munir acts like Pakistan is some rich, politicaly stable, self sufficient regional power when none of that is true.

Well, Hibatullah has now created the thousands-strong Hebati unit specifically for the Durand Line, with reports of Russian funding, training and equipment... And very recently, the Taliban launched recruitment in 6 districts along the Pakistan border.....

And our own intelligence agencies now report a RAW-Taliban network including more than $7.8 million in Indian funding recently.....

Put that together and I wouldn’t dismiss this as merely cheap drones and proxies....... They appear to be building the manpower, organisation and external support for something much bigger......including the capacity for a direct confrontation...
