actually not much wrong with the current port facilities (it is just the Rabuka govt trying to make some easy money, they just swallowed AU$60m given for major refurbishment of health facilities and another AU$43m for fuel crisis relief and didn't even burp or fart), but I would prefer China or Russia base their SLBM in Fiji. Currently Chinese satellite tracking vessels make regular port calls to Suva as well as NZ and Aussie naval ships.

all aggressors are internal at the moment, military nearly went on the street a couple of months ago, still carrying out operations with the police. corruption is the name of the game in Fiji, "even the garbage collectors are corrupt bad".
