* Ukraine is a leading country in the ICBM missile industry.

DNEPR satellite missile, which is mainly converted by ICBM intercontinental rocket, ended approximately 22 firing flights!

Putting nearly 124 satellites in its orbit for nearly 30 countries, including Saudi Arabian ones..

This is what Saudi Arabia was aiming for with the procurement of the Grom-2

These are the specs of the Russian Iskandar:

- The speed, we are talking about a huge speed of 6 Mach.

- Various guidance systems such as INS, satellite guidance, direction through the Tercom or DSMAC system, the presence of several methods for the missile that resists any counter-disturbance operations and is considered complementary to each other in the event if one system fails.

- Accuracy, Alexander has a CP between 5 to 7 m

Of course, a missile at 6 Mach, a range of 500 km, 5 m cp, and a warhead up to 800 kg, is really devastating, especially if it maneuvers at the level of 30G and holds a set of electronic warfare for confusion.. this is very excellent, if these advantages of the Iskandar are achieved locally it is really wonderful..

During the tests, better results were achieved than the Russian missile, Iskandar, where in the export version, Alexander carries a visual guidance, but it carries an error rate that ranges between 5-10 meters, but today we are talking about an error rate ranging between 0-2 meters from the target by the Grom-2, and the ability to correct the path of the missile in the final stage.

Where 4 different types of steering heads will be available, and they are as follows:

1- Electro-optical guidance

2- Infrared guidance

3- Radar guidance

4- A guidance that combines radar guidance with electro=optical guidance

Very valuable information and a lot of it has been previously discussed on numerous Arab military forums. What surprises me are the persistent rumours of KSA working with Russia as well? Could it be possible or even realistic for KSA to have worked with BOTH Ukraine and Russia at the same time? Probably, in pre-2014 times but do we have any timelines of the cooperation with Ukraine? Some say that it began in the 1990's.

Very interesting and thank you for the informative updates as usual. Much appreciated.

The Russian cooperation I was referring to.

Saudi Arabia's Hypersonic Missile Rush: Options and strategic considerations

Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khaled Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz was quoted as saying that the Kingdom is exploring various options concerning hypersonic missile projects, one of which includes potential collaboration with Russia.

The note provides a comprehensive overview of the following aspects:

- The status of talks with Russia concerning hypersonic missiles

- Other countries eyed by Saudi Arabia for cooperation

- A prerequisite for the Kingdom to move forward with a deal

The note also highlights Prince Khaled's stance on expanding defense cooperation with Russia in light of the Kingdom's strategic relations with the U.S.

Also remember news from January?

KSA and Russia reached a solid understanding ages ago and relations have steadily been improving and reached a strategic dimension. MbS and Putin are also close.

I have said it time and time again, work with every relevant power as currently and try to benefit from all of them and play them out against each other if necessary. They all want cooperation with KSA by default for multiple reasons.

Yes Saudi Arabia worked with both..because the weapons they wanted from Russia at that time were not to come with the ToT that KSA wanted..Ukraine on the other hand was ready to provide even full ToT of its systems to Saudi Arabia..So there was nothing to get angry about with Russia since the aim of KSA was achieved anyhow..

As for the time line:

It has peaked in around 2011

High level visits

The most important visits between the two countries:

Here is a good read report:

Any information about the bolded part?

Well, it is hard to know what degree of cooperation in this regard (hypersonic missiles) occurs with China. It would be nice to get access to that report from Tactical Report. Maybe it contains additional information.

There is a lot of noise in this regard in local Saudi Arabian and Arab sources but hard to know with certainty what is up and what is down here.

The design looked similar to the Russian Zircon hypersonic cruise missile (see above pic)

The Ukrainians will develop a ramjet engine

OK now I have found it for you..
The range of the Ukrainian missile from 300 to 1750 km..
With a Speed of 1700 m / s (6,120 Kilometers per Hour)

Do you have any primary sources that talks about the history of Arab missile programs? It is particularly interesting because Arabs were the first Muslims to begin this industry, largely thanks to attracting former German scientists and technicians not long after WW2.

I am also intrigued by the KSA cooperation with Iraq and Libya when both attempted to build nuclear weapons (first such attempts in the Muslim world as well if I am not wrong).

Imagine where the Arab world could be if not for constant interference by the world's strongest powers (USA in particular) and their regional implant (Israel). Not going to last forever, that is for sure.

KSA-Egypt cooperation is also a very fascinating topic with many, many rumours.

U.S. Trump administration’s concerns, measures on deepened Saudi-Chinese ties

Saudi-Chinese relations have flourished in recent years, further consolidating strong economic ties and the prospects of increasing mutual investments in finance, defense, and energy.

Enhanced Saudi-Chinese ties, especially in the defense sector, do not sit well with the U.S. Trump administration, currently preparing for an intense trade war with Beijing.

The following In-depth report sheds light on:

- Trump administration’s view on Saudi-Chinese ties

- The administration's major concerns stemming from the increased Chinese presence in the Kingdom

- Its plans to address these concerns on the defense and financial levels

The report also mentions the Trump administration's strategy to balance its hawkish approach toward China while rekindling ties with Saudi Arabia.

Anyone with full access to Tactical Report?

A photo published by an American official report of DF-21 missiles if it was launched from #Saudi Arabia.

The kingdom has a higher range, but the DF-21 missile is characterized by its high ability, speed, and impossibility of intercepting it..
