New Geely Atlas will get all-wheel drive in Russia
The new-generation Geely Atlas crossover has so far been offered in the Russian market only with front-wheel drive. As the portal "Chinese cars" writes with reference to its sources, in the summer of 2024 the new "Atlas" will have a long-awaited all-wheel drive modification. Official dealers are already placing orders for the production of such version. At the same time in China itself, where the model under the local name Boyue L was presented two years ago, the all-wheel drive is not offered to buyers.
All-wheel drive Geely Atlas will receive a 2-litre turbo engine and 8-speed classic "automatic", which are already familiar on models Tugella and Monjaro. The question of power is still open. For example, for "Tugella" two variants are available: 200 and 238 hp. Most likely, all-wheel drive Atlas will receive a 200-horsepower unit. Recall that the crossovers with front-wheel drive, which are sold in Russia officially, the output is exactly the same.
It is worth noting that for the last six months, Geely has actively undertaken to update and expand the model range in Russia. Following the new generation of Atlas, a 7-seat crossover Okavango was released. And in summer, in addition to all-wheel drive Atlas, another novelty is expected - business sedan Preface. In addition, according to "China Cars", Atlas Pro crossovers should soon change its name to Belgee X70, and the sedan Emgrand will turn into Belgee S50.
At the end of four months of 2024, Geely's sales in our country grew 2.5 times to 47743 cars. As a result, Geely took the third place in sales among all carmakers in Russia, and the market share of the brand was 10.2% against 7.7% a year earlier. This is reported by experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency with reference to the data of JSC "PPK "* and taking into account its own segmentation.
