Serial production of the new hydrogen version of Aurus Senat is planned to start by 2029. Denis Yendachev, Executive Director for Information and Intelligent Systems at NAMI, told Prime news agency, adding that the prototype is currently being tested at low (up to minus 45 degrees) and high (up to plus 45 degrees) temperatures, as well as in mountainous terrain. Ural Automobile Plant has presented its own development - a new generation modular electric truck platform. The electric engine of the eco-friendly and silent vehicle is powered by a double set of traction batteries, which provide a range of up to 250 kilometers, the press service of enterprise reports. The car was developed primarily for use in urban conditions. It is maneuverable, with a low noise level, but most importantly has absolutely no exhaust emissions.
On the presented electric platform it is possible to install almost any superstructure for municipal, road, construction, logistics equipment. The electric truck has 4x2 wheel arrangement, GVW of 19 tons with chassis load capacity up to 10.5 tons. Capacity of traction batteries made in Russia is 250 kWh. Traction batteries with thermoregulation system, temperature and voltage control, guarantee safety during operation. Long service life is possible even at minus temperatures down to - 45 degrees Celsius.
In addition, an electric hybrid truck "Ural C230E5" - a brigade vehicle is presented. It is designed to deliver crews and all necessary electrical equipment to the place of repair work on overhead and cable lines. The vehicle has 4x2 wheel arrangement. The generator set increases the range up to 500 km. The presented modifications of electric vehicles have already successfully passed preliminary running tests and after certification will be sent to pilot operation. According to Ilya Chernev, the owner of the Link plant, the company is focused not only on the production of in-demand products, but also conducts its own developments.
"We plan to pay special attention to the development of full-cycle engineering competencies. For example, now our specialists are developing wiring harnesses for the high-tech and environmentally friendly electric car Atom, the delivery of products for which is planned for next year. We are also negotiating with Belarusian-Chinese enterprise BelGee and Ural automobile plant. In the meantime, we are closely cooperating with AVTOVAZ - we produce wiring harnesses for the LADA car lineup," said Ilya Chernev.
Link plant became the legal successor of Leoni AG subsidiary Leoni Rus, investments in which amounted to 1 billion 470 million rubles. Earlier it was one of the country's top three leading manufacturers of wire harnesses, but in 2022, by decision of foreign shareholders stopped production of products.
