Experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency found that in 29 Russian regions the market share of "Chinese" is higher than in the country as a whole. Thus, according to the results of the first half of year, the largest share was registered in Kaliningrad region (78.9%).
The second place in this rating is occupied by St. Petersburg (74.5%), the third - by Irkutsk region (73.4%). Moscow and Novosibirsk regions (73.1% each) follow with the same indicators. If we consider the top 10 of such regions, there are Moscow (69.9%), Sevastopol (66.3%), Khakassia (65.8%), Krasnodar territory (65.8%) and Kaluga region (65.4%). The experts of AUTOSTAT agency explain the high share of Chinese brands in these RF subjects by the fact that the market share of foreign cars used to be traditionally high there.
But in the regions where consumers have historically preferred domestic car brands and where the share of LADA sales was high, Chinese cars remain less popular. Thus, a low share of sales of new "Chinese" can be observed in Ingushetia (16.5%), Kalmykia (19.9%) and Kamchatka (20.8%).

They also noted that the decline in sales volumes against the previous month in the segment of new electric cars began back in April.
