As a result, Jetour took the eighth place in the brand rating of Russian market with a share of 2.2%. The most popular Jetour model in August was Dashing crossover, which was chosen by 1,443 Russian buyers. The second place went to the SUV T2, which sold 1,324 vehicles.

Also, Jetour sells in Russia crossovers X70 Plus and X90 Plus, the total sales volume of which at the end of summer exceeded 900 vehicles. Recall that in July, the bestseller Jetour in the Russian market was T2 model, which then managed to beat the crossover Dashing for the first time.

When Rostech withdrew from AVTOVAZ and transferred its stake (32.3 %) in NAMI (the Research Automobile and Automotive Institute subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade), it retained the right to buy back.

The reasons for this gesture were not officially explained at the time. However, at that time the automobile company was experiencing huge difficulties with ordering components abroad, and, as some experts believe, political motives could have been one of the reasons for the corporation's withdrawal from the shareholder structure. Today the situation at AVTOVAZ looks more positive. The enterprise is actively engaged in modernization of production and search for new partners to increase the localization level. According to the results of 8 months of 2024, Russian LADA dealers sold 29390 cars, which is 42.2% higher than the figure for the same period last year. At the end of September, AVTOVAZ is preparing to launch mass production of the new LADA Aura business sedan at the Togliatti site and mass production of the LADA e-Largus electric car at the Izhevsk plant.

In December 2024, it is planned to put the LADA Niva in Sport modification for assembly. A number of other projects, such as assembly of bi-fuel LADA Vesta, putting on the assembly line of the novelty LADA Iskra, creation of a new crossover on the basis of Vesta platform and a number of others, are in preparation for production.

JAECOO presented J7 crossover in a new Supreme-V version​

A new top version of JAECOO J7 crossover - Supreme-V - was officially presented in Moscow on 19 September. According to the press service of brand, in this configuration the car received an updated interior and innovative all-wheel drive system Torque Vectoring, built-in video recorder and a number of online services tied to the function JAECOO CONNECT.

As a reminder, JAECOO J7 is currently available in four front-wheel drive and four all-wheel drive configurations. All of them are equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine and a 7-speed robotized gearbox. Front-wheel drive versions are available with two engine power options - 150bhp (Urban and Lifestyle 150) and 186bhp (Lifestyle and Ultimate). In the all-wheel drive version, the engine has 150 hp (in Active 150) and 186 hp (for Active, Supreme and the new top-end Supreme-V). Already in base versions the equipment of crossover included electric drive mirrors, keyless access system, engine start with a button, cruise control, Start-Stop system, multimedia system, climate system with individual air ducts for second row passengers, audio system with six speakers and much more.

And in the top kits, including Supreme-V, this complex is supplemented with projection HUD-display, voice control system, traffic jam assistant, adaptive cruise control, front collision warning system and emergency braking assistance, including reversing, as well as the function of keeping the car in the lane and warning of its departure from the markings. Thanks to the new Supreme-V crossover, not only the standard ARDIS (All Road Drive Intelligent System), but also the advanced Torque Vectoring all-wheel drive system, which was first implemented on the JAECOO J8 crossover, is now responsible for off-road capability. The list of options of updated JAECOO J7 includes black ceiling trim in the cabin, and due to changes in the internal shape of the rear wheel arches, the luggage compartment has become larger.

Supreme-V configuration also assumes the presence of an inbuilt video recorder. To activate it, it is enough to install a flash drive in the electronic block under the windscreen. Also, the crossover has received function JAECOO CONNECT, and together with it a whole complex of telematic possibilities became available to owners.

As for the price, Chery Arrizo 8 sedan will cost 3,250,000 rubles in the Ultra Black version. Such a recommended retail price is indicated on the Chery website. A new car brand - KNEWSTAR (pronounced newstar) - has appeared in Russia. According to the press service of the brand, it was created to maximize the adaptation of Chinese cars to the conditions of the Russian market. Its name is made up of three parts - K, New and Star, which means 'New Star of K class'. The exclusive distributor of the new brand in our country is the company ‘Slava Motors Rus'. It will provide the necessary certification, supply cars, spare parts and accessories, and assume warranty obligations. Currently, the new brand is preparing to open a large-scale dealer network across Russia.

At the start of sales the model line of the brand will be represented by only one model - all-wheel drive coupe-crossover KNEWSTAR 001, production of which is established in the Chinese city of Harbin. The car is already available for orders. It will be sold at official dealers in three versions - Luxury, Flagship and Flagship Sport. As noted by experts of agency AUTOSTAT, coupe-crossover KNEWSTAR 001 has a striking similarity with Geely Tugella. Accordingly, its characteristics and equipment should coincide.

In all configurations, KNEWSTAR 001 is provided with an intelligent system of automatically connected all-wheel drive. The crossover is equipped with a 2-litre turbo petrol engine, which works in tandem with an 8-speed automatic transmission with torque converter. In Luxury and Flagship configurations the power unit output is 200 hp, and in Flagship Sport version - 238 hp. The car is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.9 or 7.4 seconds (depending on the degree of engine boost). Taking into account the Russian climate, the car even in the basic initial version is equipped with a full winter package, including heated front and rear side seats, heated windscreen and washer nozzles, heated steering wheel, as well as exterior mirrors, which, in addition, have electric folding, electric adjustment and anti-glare coating.
