A plant for the production of spare parts for the repair and restoration of internal combustion engines will appear in the Moscow region. The company "Mekhanika" is engaged in the construction of the enterprise in Lobnya, and investments in the project will be more than 400 million rubles, the portal of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow region reports.
Currently, Mekhanika has its own production facility in Moscow. After the launch of the new enterprise in the Moscow region, it is planned to transfer all production capacities there. The products, namely cardan shafts, cylinder liners, guide bushings and valve seats, will be manufactured using modernized domestic equipment. Eight production areas will be launched at the enterprise in Lobnya: billet, grinding, horizontal and vertical boring, honing, cardan, washing and testing. A special place will be given to the CNC machine tool section and pilot production.
As it is noted, the enterprise will be able, for example, to restore crankshaft or cylinder block, including for imported machinery. The investor expects to launch the first production site in June this year.

If we consider the fleet of crossovers and SUVs by country of origin, the Japanese are the leaders here, accounting for 35%. In quantitative terms, this amounts to 4.56 million vehicles. SUVs of Korean and domestic brands (1.85 million and 1.84 million vehicles, respectively) have almost the same number of cars. They are followed by German crossovers and SUVs (1.4 million vehicles). The mark of 1 million vehicles is also crossed by "Chinese" (1.08 million vehicles).
The most widespread model in the SUV segment is the 3-door VAZ Niva. At the beginning of the year, there were 0.98 million such cars in our country. In second place is the Chevrolet Niva SUV, the result of which was 0.64 million vehicles. The crossovers Toyota RAV4 (0.52 million vehicles), Renault Duster (0.5 million vehicles) and Nissan X-Trail (0.37 million units) are also in the top-5.

After restyling, the model exterior has significantly changed. So, the updated FAW B70 received a two-tiered front optics, a small radiator enclosure with horizontal slats in the style of Bestune T77 and Bestune T99 crossovers, new bumpers, as well as an exhaust system with trapezoidal nozzles. 18 or 19-inch wheel disks are available for the car.

In 2024, Ural Automobile Plant is planning to allocate more than 16 billion rubles for the development of production. This was announced by Pavel Yakovlev, General Director of the enterprise, according to whom the funds will be directed, in particular, to the development of technologies, product and IT-projects, modernization of production facilities and equipment.
As it was specified to Interfax agency in the press service of Ural AZ, last year about 6.5 billion Rubles were invested in the development of the enterprise, this year it is planned to spend 16.4 billion Rubles for these purposes. Thus, investments in the development of the plant may grow 2.5 times this year. According to P. Yakovlev, a large amount of equipment will be supplied to the plant as part of the measures being implemented. Thus, 67 vehicles of equipment have been purchased for the Bridges project and will be installed in the near future. Besides, within the framework of the project "Assembly Building" this year it is planned to complete the construction of the building, launch the main vehicle assembly areas and equip it with more than 1 thousand units of various equipment.
The production plan of Ural AZ for 2024 is 19.4 thousand vehicles. Last year the company produced 14.27 thousand cars (+45%), sold 14.03 thousand cars (+41%). As noted, by the end of 2023, the assembly rate of 78 cars per day will be achieved (50 cars per day by the end of 2022). The enterprise is implementing a five-year investment program worth more than 20 billion rubles. Last year, more than RUB 7 billion was allocated for investment projects related to production modernization and improvement. In addition, in 2023, the company, together with the South Ural State University and Bauman Moscow State Technical University, created a line of vehicles called the Arctic Bus; launched a project to create a new range of transfer boxes; and presented its own line of axles for heavy machinery, created in cooperation with the Industrial Development Fund (IDF).
Also last year, work continued on the "electric platform" project, on the basis of which various models of special vehicles for urban economy are being developed, in particular, an environmentally friendly rubbish truck capable of travelling both on an internal combustion engine and on electric traction.
