Moskvich plant has launched full-cycle car production. For this purpose, a modern robotized welding equipment system, which is specially designed for Moskvich, has been installed at the plant, and 490 new jobs have been created, the press service of Moscow government reports. The transition to the new production format will reduce the logistics costs of Moskvich plant by up to 25 per cent.
More than 70 test cars have been assembled on the new line, which have successfully passed all the necessary checks. Moskvich 3 crossovers and Moskvich 3e electric cars will be produced by the method of small-unit assembly. It is worth noting that with the transition to a full cycle technology crossover "Moskvich 3" will have a two-tone body - the top is black, and the bottom in any of five colours presented in the model line.
This additional option became possible with the transition to own colouring. Special body treatment has also been introduced, which in the conditions of Russian climate improves the quality and durability of coating, protection from gravel and small stones, additionally protects the body from corrosion and others. Recall that in November 2022 Moskvich automobile plant launched serial production of Moskvich 3 crossover, and in December its electric version called Moskvich 3e appeared on the assembly line of enterprise.
In September 2023, the plant "Moskvich" began serial production of liftback Moskvich 6. As previously reported AUTOSTAT, car plant Moskvich presented the design of a new model - a seven-seat crossover Moskvich 8. As reported by experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*, this allowed Chinese brand to enter the top 3 most popular foreign cars in the Russian car market for the first time this year.
If we consider the results of the previous 18 weeks, Changan steadily took the fourth place among foreign cars and the fifth in the overall ranking. Above it there were domestic LADA and Chinese Haval, Chery, Geely, but in the 19th week Changan was able to bypass Geely and get into the top three among foreign brands. Here are the figures of the last week: LADA - 7566 new cars sold, Haval - 2418, Chery - 2039, Changan - 1616, Geely - 1604.
It should also be noted that the sales volumes of other market players did not reach 1 thousand vehicles at the end of week. OMODA took the sixth place with the result of 814 vehicles, EXEED (642 vehicles) - the seventh. BelGee (609 vehicles) was in eighth position, followed by Jetour and JAECOO (535 and 413 vehicles, respectively). In total, 21,988 new passenger cars were sold in our country in the 19th week of 2024 - 21 per cent less than a week earlier.

For the next deliveries, which are scheduled for the next 2-3 weeks, all cars are in advance booked", - said in "Pragmatica". Recall that the batch of LADA Granta cars with automatic transmission, production of which began at AVTOVAZ in April this year, will be about 5 thousand vehicles and will be produced during the year.
Automatic transmission is installed on LADA Granta cars with sedan and liftback body types. The cost of sedan with AT is from 1 million 228 thousand rubles, liftback - from 1 million 299 thousand rubles. Sedans with AT are available in Comfort Plus, which includes two front airbags, ABS, air conditioning, heated front seats, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, audio system, 15-inch alloy wheels. Liftbacks with AT are produced in the version #CLUB, which is additionally equipped with windscreen heating and parktronic.
Externally, the car is distinguished by black mirror housings and two-tone alloy wheels; the seats are embroidered with the logo of the configuration. Four-speed automatic transmission is combined with a 16-valve engine with a volume of 1.6 litres and an output of 98 hp. A similar power unit has been previously used on LADA Granta family. The maximum speed of the car is 176 km/h, acceleration to 100 km/h takes 13.3 seconds, fuel consumption in the mixed cycle is 7.4 litres /100 km.

Moskvich automobile plant has shown its new model - a seven-seat crossover Moskvich 8 - for the first time as part of the launch of full-cycle car production. The start of production and sales of the novelty will take place at the end of this year, the press service of Moscow government reports.
Seven-seat crossover "Moskvich 8" has the following dimensions: 4 824 mm in length, 1 870 mm in width and 1 756 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2 830 mm. The exterior of the car is distinguished by a massive grille integrated with LED optics, as well as a distinctive rear line of LED optics along the entire boot. The interior is equipped with ergonomic seats, a digital dashboard with a 12.3-inch display, wireless phone charging, a system of surround-view cameras, and the ability to connect to smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the bonnet of "Moskvich 8" will be installed GDI petrol engine with an output of 174 hp, which works in combination with a 7-speed robotic transmission. Recall that in November 2022, Moskvich automobile plant launched serial production of Moskvich 3 crossover, and in December its electric version called Moskvich 3e appeared on the assembly line of the enterprise. Tatarstan (34.7 thousand vehicles), Sverdlovsk region (34.1 thousand vehicles), Bashkortostan (32.9 thousand vehicles), Dagestan (29.7 thousand vehicles) and Chelyabinsk region (27.8 thousand vehicles) are also in the top 10 subjects of the Russian Federation by volume of the secondary market.
The experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency note that among the listed regions the market of used cars has grown most strongly in Moscow - by 26% in Q1 of this year. At the same time, if we consider all subjects of our country, the dynamics of the secondary market is outpaced only by Chukotka (+64%), which, however, is an outsider in terms of volumes.
