For 9 months of 2024, 39,218 new motorbikes were sold in our country - 58% more than in January - September 2023. According to experts of AUTOSTAT agency, this figure has already become a record, although there are still three months left until the end of the year. Even though this will not be the best period for sales of motorbikes, but the total market volume will still grow. Recall that in the history of our observation of Russian market for new motorbikes, its maximum result was recorded in 2014 - 30,227 units.
It broke the mark of 30 thousand vehicles at first, which for the next 8 years he did not conquer ... And here it happened this year, and to be exact, the record of the market of motorbikes was set at the end of 7 months - 31,289 vehicles. Separately, it is worth noting that in 2024, a monthly record for the volume of motorbike sales was also set. Thus, the most ‘yielding’ was April - 7,512 vehicles. And in this case, the market for the first time exceeded the 7-thousandth milestone at the end of the month. Earlier, the newest motorbikes were sold in May 2014 (5,539 vehicles).
Five brands accounted for more than half (51.4%) of new motorbikes sold for 9 months. Regulmoto is the leader with 6,803 vehicles. Racer (4,254 vehicles) and Motoland (3,776 vehicles) are also in the top three. Bajaj and Voge (2,785 and 2,559 vehicles respectively) also crossed the threshold of 2,000 motorbikes sold between January and September.
Racer RC300, with 1,978 vehicles, tops the model ranking. Apart from it, only four models managed to surpass the 1,000 vehicles mark: Regulmoto Sport (1,647 vehicles), Racer RC250 (1,561 vehicles), Motoland XL250 (1,497 vehicles) and Motoland XF300 (1,257 vehicles). Five Russian regions accounted for 35% of the total new motorbike market in the reporting period. Moscow is at the forefront (4,729 vehicles), followed by Moscow Region (3,275 vehicles) and St. Petersburg (2,123 vehicles). Two more regions of Russian Federation also sold over 1,000 motorbikes: Sverdlovsk Region (1,862 vehicles) and Krasnodar Territory (1,740 vehicles).
