Lada became the market leader, accounting for 22.1% of all second-hand cars sold in Russia in 2023. Quantitatively, this corresponds to 1.26 million copies. About half as many Toyota cars were purchased (670.4 thousand units; share – 11.8%). Kia (319 thousand units), Hyundai (315.1 thousand units) and Nissan (296.8 thousand units) also exceeded the 5% limit.
It happened before that knownRenault Megane, Opel Corsa and Volkswagen Passat are considered the most trouble-free European cars under 10 years old in Russia. In addition to the listed models, Volkswagen Jetta sedan and Peugeot 308 hatchback were also in the top 5, while Skoda Fabia ranked sixth. “The experiment that started last year on free travel of electric vehicles on toll roads was generally successful: approximately 5 thousand drivers took advantage of this benefit and made approximately 315 thousand trips. Belousov said that aid will continue on January 19.
It is stated that electric cars can be used free of charge on the toll sections of the Northern Ring Road of M-1, M-3, M-4, M-11, M-12, Central Ring Road, Odintsovo highways.

Back in 2012, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus registered 27 trade marks for Russia. One of them is Solaris, and according to sources at the company, it is under this brand that Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio cars are likely to be produced.
The enterprise is fully provided with vehicle kits for the production of about 2 thousand of such cars. The plant can produce about 20 thousand more cars if it finds a channel for supplying electronic vehicles, and the remaining 50 thousand cars require "more serious completion and retrofitting". Meanwhile, Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad has recently started shipping to dealers Kia Seltos and Soul crossovers, which it had been unable to assemble earlier due to the freezing of component deliveries by Korean partners.
According to Gazeta.Ru, there are no other Kia models to be assembled in Kaliningrad, although Avtotor produced a wide range of Kia cars until 2022, including Seltos, Soul, Sportage and Sorento crossovers, Cerato and K5 sedans, as well as the Ceed family. Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of Za Rulem magazine, told Gazeta.Ru that as of spring 2023, Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad had about 7,000 uncompleted Korean cars, mostly Kia Seltos crossovers. There were also other incomplete Kia models and single Hyundai models, including Palisade crossovers.
According to the expert, these volumes will not have a serious impact on the Russian market, and the terms for which these cars will be sold directly depend on their prices. "Avtotor is making every effort to finish these cars and put them on sale. I think that there will be buyers who will want to buy these cars. They know them, they are confident in them. There are spare parts for these cars, dealers are working, there are all the technological cards and tools for their maintenance", - summarizes M. Kadakov.

The most popular Chery model on the Russian market last year was the crossover Tiggo 7 PRO Max, which went on sale in January 2023 and found 41 057 owners by the end of the year. It should be noted that in July this model also became available in all-wheel drive version Tiggo 7 PRO Max AWD. The second place was taken by the compact crossover Chery Tiggo 4 PRO with an indicator of 32 936 cars (growth in 15.7 times), and since July 2023 it has completely ousted the Tiggo 4 model from showrooms.
