Russian Haval dealers have started selling the updated compact crossover Haval Jolion, produced at the company’s plant near Tula. This was reported by the press service of the brand. The model will be offered in six trim levels with prices starting from 2 million rubles.
After the update, the car retained the same power units. The only engine available remains the 1.5-litre petrol engine, producing 143 hp with front-wheel drive and 150 hp with all-wheel drive. Transmissions are six-speed manual or seven-speed robotic.
With the vehicle update, the configurations have also changed slightly. In particular, the top version will have a panoramic roof with a sunroof, and in some versions, driver’s seat ventilation and the proprietary Haval Connection telematics complex.
On the outside, Haval Jolion hasn’t changed much. The car now has a black grille, black rear spoiler and roof rails.

Kaliningrad plant Avtotor has presented the first model of the new brand Amberavto - an electric sedan A5, produced within the framework of technological cooperation with a foreign partner. The novelty is adapted for operation in the Russian climate, has passed certification and is included in the program of deep localization of production, the press service of Avtotor reports. The first electric cars "Amberavto A5" were produced at the enterprise in Kaliningrad at the end of 2023.
"Pilot" batch of cars is planned to be sold within the Kaliningrad region to get the first operational experience here. To date, a plan for deep localization of the A5 Amberavto has been developed. The maximum number of localized components (including critical components) will be used to produce this model. The cars will be equipped with electric motors, inverters, gearboxes, electronic systems, batteries and other components, the production of which is being launched in 2024 - 2025 at new plants established at the Avtotor production site.
"Amberavto A5" has the following dimensions: 4,675 mm in length, 1,835 mm in width and 1,480 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. The electric car has a MacPherson suspension at the front and multi-lever suspension at the rear. The permanent magnet electric synchronous motor produces 160bhp of power with 225Nm of torque. The traction battery has a capacity of 60.2 kWh. The range is 520 kilometres on a full charge according to the CLTC methodology.

The project envisages creation of more than 200 new jobs. The total amount of investments will be 1.5 billion rubles.
As previously reported by AUTOSTAT, Sollers' subsidiary Sollers Transmission Production will receive a preferential loan of 564 million rubles for localization of 6-speed manual transmission production at the industrial site of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant. The funds raised from the loan will be used to purchase equipment for the gearbox assembly shop, a line for mechanical processing of the gearbox housing parts, as well as serial foundry tooling.
Sollers Group will launch serial production of MT in Zavolzhye in the second quarter of 2024. The facility will assemble and test MT, it is planned to localize casting and crankcase machining operations, and localization of all major MT parts is being considered in the future. The total production volume under the project will be 7 thousand vehicles in 2024 with further growth up to 50 thousand vehicles per year.
Sollers light commercial vehicles and pickup trucks, UAZ brand vehicles will receive new MT. The company also plans to install localized gearboxes on other domestic vehicles.
