America cannot achieve global hegemony unless America can subdue China and Russia which are huge countries with a lot of area. Not to mention lots of smaller ones like Cuba, Venezuela, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Guatemala, South Africa which are also hostile to the idea of American hegemony.

That's only for domestic audience. It is theatrics. Russia has no man power to conquer all of Ukraine. Russia officially claims the borders of Donba region after Donba region seceded from Ukraine in 2014 shortly after Maidan and joined Russia.
