Russia deploys new counter battery radar which from the appearance seems to be based on the Chinese SLC-2. It appears to use AESA as opposed to PESA which is used by the older Zoopark series. It could track and locate field guns and HIMARS.

Russia deploys the newest Yastreb-AV system to war against Ukraine
Radar Russia Ukraine War with Russia
Units of the Russian invasion forces were equipped with a 1К148 Yastreb-AV counter-battery radar system.
The Russian Ministry of Defense
reported that the system entered service with artillery units deployed on the territory of Ukraine.
Along with the Zoopark-1M system, Yastreb-AV is detecting artillery firing positions.
The characteristics of the 1К148 Yastreb-AV counter-battery radar system were not publicized. The system’s model was demonstrated at the Army-2022 forum.
The Russian military started receiving it recently, and tests were completed only in late 2021 or early 2022.

The radar system with a phased array antenna is capable of automatically tracking the trajectory of shells fired by enemy artillery, determining the exact position coordinates.
The 1К148 Yastreb-AV system is placed on a four-seater BAZ-6910-025 chassis. The rear part of the chassis is allocated for the placement of an antenna post with a large area array.
At the same time, in August this year, the commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group
reported that they destroyed the Russian radar station of the Yastreb-AV system.
“We have successes in the Tavria direction. 18 units of enemy military equipment were destroyed. In particular, one Yastreb-AV radar system,” Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi reported.
Today, the fight against enemy artillery has become one of the key tasks in military operations.

Counter-battery radars directly detect a missile or projectile and calculate it on several points of the trajectory, determining both the location of the enemy’s firing position and the site of the projectile’s fall.
At the moment, the 1L219 Zoopark-1 radar is the main counter-battery radar in service with the Russian military.
