That portion spans like 750 km long. More than England. It's huge. Germany can't even beat England in WW2. Ukraine can't beat that portion.

All of those are settlements that Ukraine must storm to recapture. And Ukraine doesn't have the men to do it.
Which means, those loss are likely permanent. One by one, until Ukraine is subjugated.
