It’s taken Russia 9 months to achieve what Ukraine has in a week. An at the cost of tens of thousands of dead and wounded and thousands of armor destroyed.
The Russian military has no strategy. Just throw as much meat and equipment at the line hoping they can gain ground no matter the cost. Russian military leadership are a bunch of corrupt incompetent fools.

The report concluded that it would take Russia up to 5 months to reclaim the whole of Kursk if we use the scale of their progress in Ukraine if they culminate today, it will take longer if they don't want to destroy the city.....
Bear in mind, the troop that Russia is throwing into Kursk is lightly armed FSB Internal ministry troop plus conscript. The bulk of well-armed troop is still in Ukraine. This is going to take them longer (compare to what Russia committed on the like of Bakhmut, Sivererdonetsk and Avdiivka) to retake Russia from the Ukrainian

Ukraine needs to dig in and fortify and use the land as a bargaining tool at negotiations. Gain as much leverage as possible.
This is just another humiliation for Putin and Russia. They’ve gotten themselves into a huge endless quagmire.
