Russia-Ukraine War - News, Discussions & Updates

Ukraine needs to dig in and fortify and use the land as a bargaining tool at negotiations. Gain as much leverage as possible.

This is just another humiliation for Putin and Russia. They’ve gotten themselves into a huge endless quagmire.
They are.....

They are fortifying their position as we speak, they just reinforce their line with another 2 Brigade, now the Russian is facing a full division worth (5 Brigade) of Ukrainian instead of just 3 Brigade.

The problem is Russian lack the mean to expose Ukrainian flank, time and time again, the only way Russian been able to push is basically reduce Ukrainian position to rubble by either Artillery or Airstrike or both. Then basically send the infantry to sweep up the ruin when the area become indefensible. That's the only way they progress, never had they done any maneuver warfare (beside when they tried to take Kyiv and failed at the beginning of the war) like when Ukraine out maneuvers the Russian in Kharkiv and retake a large swath of land without even much of a fight.

So basically, what the Ukrainian doing here is bait the Russian into doing the same thing they did in Ukrainian soil, only now they are doing in Kursk. Russia either need to do that or send in large amount of men and fight in close quarter

To sum up the situation. The Ukies at a cost of over a thousand casualties so far and the loss of hundred of vehicles have established a bridgehead of no military value. They are now, and will have to continue, feed more men and material into this fire sack to avoid a PR disaster. I predict the Ruskies will be in no hurry to shut down this enclave as it is and will continue, to swallow up the men and material so badly needed by the retreating Uki forces in The Donbas dudes. Did the Russians deliberately not fortify this section of the border?

It’s taken Russia 9 months to achieve what Ukraine has in a week. An at the cost of tens of thousands of dead and wounded and thousands of armor destroyed.

The Russian military has no strategy. Just throw as much meat and equipment at the line hoping they can gain ground no matter the cost. Russian military leadership are a bunch of corrupt incompetent fools.
This Kursk offensive is more impressive than the Kharkiv offensive. Not bad. That’s for military books.

If same thing was done by Russia some trolls here would be laughing to their death.
But right now they are pretending to cheer like larks, inside knowing that Ukraine made a very foolish move.
I bet this mistake accelerated the collapse of Ukraine.

Neither country has the demographics for war. The young people of both countries grew up watching Hollywood and drinking coca coca. They are soft as babies. They are not fit for war.

I think Russia was caught by surprise there to be honest. They didn't realise how suicide Ukrainians are for their NATO masters. Russia didn't want to have to evacuate thousands of its civilians needlessly. Now that they have though, Ukraine has opened a can of worms it should have kept closed. The Ukrainian offensive is being lured into a cauldron which will end in their complete and utter annihilation. Once done, the Russians will begin to take land from the North. Let the NATO faggots spunk on their keyboard. They'll be sobbing in a few weeks when their wet dream turns into a damp squib.
