Russia seems like the victor in this conflict at a high price however.

If NATO objective was to weaken Russia so it wont be a threat conventionally for the next decade they may have achieved that.

However if their objective was to free Ukraine from Russia and to admit them into Nato they failed.

Russia holds 20% of Ukraine, minerals and natural resources worth trillions, they are grinding out more and more territory despite Nato arming and funding Ukraine Nato has failed. Ukraine won't be joining NATO will be forced to remain neutral and won't be allowed any foreign troops. It's next to surrender these terms.

People keep saying Russians are struggling to take Ukraine, but the only reason Ukraine has survived this long is because of western support and intel. Without it the war would had ended in 2022 granted Russia did underestimate the Ukrainian fighting spirit and got a bloody nose. Russia is pretty much fighting against US, Europe/NATO, and Ukraine and to be frank is doing pretty well for itself all thing considered. Again this war has given Russia a black eye but it has made the US and the West look like a joke to the rest of the world. For Ukraine it has all this support the backing of entire multi national alliance and is still losing and barely hold on to what it has.
