Ukraine was already pro west when the revolution took place, even before the revolution Ukraine freely traded with the west. They will continue to trade with the west, even join the EU but no Nato/western troops will be stationed in Ukraine, and Ukraine will not join Nato or get its territory back. If in the future Ukraine takes this step then we will face another war. Overall Ukraine suffered alot and is not getting much in return. I agree Russia suffered alot, the 800,000 loss of life is too much but they drew the redline, today the USA is accepting this redline.

Do you mean Titanium?? I don't recall Ukraine are rich in platinum.....There maybe a few small mines that deep underground but Ukraine is not known for Platinum production (South Africa, US, Canada and China)

Ukraine did have a very large Titanium deposit.

Also, Russia don't have the tech to extract Lithium, there are only a few countries that have them, China is one of them.

Because a lot of people in the west refuse to see reality. And now, I am beginning to question the mental faculties of my own President. We all knew the last guy was a vegetable.

I can assure you that any weaponry beyond typical small arms in the hands of the Mexican and Colombian cartels is NOT coming from gun shows in the US. In the case of Mexico, a lot of the automatic weapons in possession of the cartels is coming from Mexican armories.

I've not seen any reports of the CIA running semiautomatic AK47s to Mexico in several years.

Dude, you are really buying into the NATO fear propaganda. Russia could have fully occupied Ukraine in 2014. Now after such a despicable performance, you think they can do a total invasion of Ukraine. Fckers even had to buy Chinese satellite imagery.

The very first few posts on the old forum were all about futility of this war.
Instead of fake concern, be real for once ...
is it about people or is about borders?

Is it about geopolitics or resources? You tell me because that is where it is concluding and not for all that blood spilled!

I have worked with Ukrainian ... and I know how race plays in their mind. I have also interacted with Russians married into Ukrainians and their view about both Russia and Ukraine.... their thoughts about this conflict.

Specific to the highlighted; working for a global company, a very close friend and coworker is from Belarus. He's pretty blunt in his views toward the Russians. The word "hate" should be considered mild.

Female coworker, whom I went to grad school with close to 25 years ago, is Russian. Her husband is Uke. They don't discuss the war.
