Russia - Ukraine war part ll. News and Discussions

That's exactly the point I've been making. During WWII, the Germans were killing Russians at a rate of 6 sometimes 7:1.

Germany still lost.

Also, Russians are extremely tough. Russians grew up in some of the harshest climates in the world. Moscow can be colder than -10 Celsius in winter. Other than Canadians, no one comes to close to Russians when it comes to being tough.

Does that logic really apply as an advantage?
The Ukrainians are their neighbors they have pretty much the same environment

Russian Geran-2 kamikaze drones attacked the Ukrainian cities of Lviv, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, and Zhytomyr. This is one of the largest attacks by the Russian army, with approximately 950 drones used, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. Media reports indicate that the strikes targeted administrative buildings housing Ukrainian military personnel. In Vinnytsia, a Geran-2 drone struck the SBU headquarters.

Ukraine is much warmer than Russia. Kiev rarely goes below -5 Celsius in winter. Germany is much warmer than Russia. Berlin rarely goes below -2 Celsius in winter. Only Canada can match Russia in climate. Toronto and Moscow have similar climate.

You should go to Chicago in winter.

Chicago is similar to Toronto in climate. How about you try Edmonton or Winnipeg?
Not there yet. As long as Trump is in office I will not risk to end up with ICE agents.
I worked in Chicago for a while. Very nice in summer although I felt the sun was crazy hot on asphalt between the high rise buildings. Chicago winter is not for me. Terrible cold.

Between 2 separate projects I spent close to 3 years in Chicago. Experienced all of their weather.

Ukrainian forces have damaged a Russian military icebreaker in the Baltic Sea port of Vyborg amid a mass overnight attack, the General Staff reported on March 25.
The attack is the first known successful strike on Russian military ship in the Baltic Sea, almost 1,000 kilometers from Ukrainian territory.
The ship, identified by the General Staff as patrol icebreaker "Pruga," operated by the border guard wing of Russia's FSB secret police, was docked at the city's shipyard when it was hit, the General Staff said. Photos purportedly taken the following day and posted on Telegram show a white ship keeled over on its side among other larger boats docked at the port.
According to the General Staff, the Pruga, belonging to a class of ships built at the shipyard known as Project 23550, is able to work both as an icebreaker and as a regular military warship.According to Russian maritime media outlet Paluba, one such ship costs around 18 billion rubles ($222 million).

Source for this is the Kyiv Independent, it might be just the angle of the photo but while the ship resembles the 23550 it is not an exact match of the other ships in its class which is strange. Also the article misspelled the name of the ship.
