Russian forces thwarted a breakout attempt by the 22nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkov region near Cherno. The enemy groups were eliminated during the attempt.

The total strength of the Ukrainian grouping in this cauldron is approximately 1,500 personnel, covering an area of 460 km². Our troops destroy about 50 soldiers daily. Clearing the pocket will push the front line at least 20 km away from the Belgorod region border, protecting adjacent territories from shelling.

Russian Strikes Hit Kiev Drone Facility

Five Geran drones struck a Fire Point assembly hub for FP-2 long-range UAVs near the Central Railway Station in Kiev. The site, located in the basements of the former "Shaiba" market, handled final assembly, electronics installation, and pre-flight checks. Transport vehicles carrying finished units were also targeted.

Preliminary reports indicate casualties among maintenance staff and military personnel, including employees of the GUR/SBU, though exact numbers are unconfirmed.

While direct hits on railway tracks cause only short delays due to rapid repair capabilities and diesel backup options, strikes on signaling control posts (EC) can reduce station throughput by 80-90% for months. However, full paralysis is difficult as trains can be rerouted via alternative stations like Svyatoshin or Daritsa.

Strike on Kiev Railway Infrastructure

Russian forces launched multiple drone attacks against railway facilities in Kiev this morning. Explosions were recorded near the main railway station in the Solomensky district, with at least two or three direct hits reported.

The strikes involved jet-powered drones targeting critical transport nodes. Persovsky, head of Ukrzaliznytsia, confirmed that a railway employee was injured during the attack.

Visual evidence from the scene indicates precise targeting of the infrastructure elements.

I don't know if ppl here watch both sides or not because if you did , you'd know that Kiev , the land border regions , the ports and rail infrastructure is being attacked daily.

There are tons of anti-westerners here, though it's a Pakistani army forum so people here concentrate more on MENA and South Asia than on Russia/Ukraine apparently.

Personally (and I accept the possibility of being wrong) - I'd compare the situation today to the US Civil War around late 1863, the frontline is generally stable but getting less so, in favor of Russia.

Ukrainian losses are almost certainly comparable to Russian ones, plausibly higher since Russia holds advantage in artillery and aviation (FAB bombs with the UMPK module especially).

IMO Donbass will fall by spring-early summer 2027 and then it will be easier for RuAF to march forward.

I liken it more toward the hi-tech version of WWI.

You have to remember that in 1863, the Union Army defeated Lee's Army of Northern Virginia at Gettysburg. The battle was fought from July 1-3.

On July 4th, Vicksburg fell and with that the Confederacy was effectively split in two. One can argue these two battles were the key turning points in shifting the momentum in favor of the North and from that point forward, they were on the march and the Confederacy was on the defense.

Yep but the eastern front was mostly stable until the end of the war.

Russian frontline advance has ground to a halt. Ukraine is striking Russian refineries and ports at will. Ukraine has built a massive amount of new fortifications over the last year and Ukr drone superiority, which now includes UGVs, has offset Ukr manpower disadvantages.

Ukr has even managed to reclaim some territory this year. I don’t see any evidence Russia will breakthrough by next spring. The CIA director even warned Putin his forces and economy to support operations are deteriorating.
