Russia - Ukraine war part ll. News and Discussions

American people - how do you feel about Trump buying Russian oil?
For myself only, when it became public then under the Biden Administration, it was a dumb idea.

It remains a dumb idea.

Why would you fund the war machine of the adversary of a country you are providing military hardware and intelligence support to? Maybe not now but you get my point.

You just don't understand the greatness of Trump's mind; none do, except him and Raptor.

Don’t support, and feels like an attempt from Trump to gain some concessions from Putin. Doubt it works, and feel Trump fundamentally misunderstands Putin and his goals.

@AZ_HighCountry maybe I'm wrong, but at this point, a minority of us living are just spectators looking at stupidity on full display around the world and just counting out our remaining living days.

You are somewhat correct.

Russia is a major refiner of diesel fuel. That is what Trump is after. Diesel fuel. Because the prices in the US are so high and the US has a lack of refining capacity. It's no longer and "extra twenty bucks at the pump" as someone once said. It's more than that.

So Trump is trying to get diesel fuel. And Putin is likely to use that as leverage in his efforts in Ukraine.

Which is why I have been saying, when Trump got all over Zelenskyy to stop targeting Russian refineries, if I was Zelenskyy, those would be my primary target day after day after day.

Good post on the state of the war. To date, the war has been a resounding strategic defeat for Russia. Ukraine has suffered immensely, but they had no choice in the matter. Ukraine vastly exceeded expectations on the battlefield and have buried Russia in Ukraine.

1.6M dead and wounded with no end in sight, almost no movement this year on the frontline. The Russian economy stagnated, lost Syria and Venezuela. It’s so bad for Putin he’s stuck in a sunk cost fallacy.

Idk bro. When you put it that way it seems like a good way to fund a forever war to bog down your enemies.

Is The Don playing 4D chess or Russian Roulette?
