How serious is this rumors that the Indonesian Navy is close to buy almost 'a dozen' S26T and Luyang III.

I heard this multiple times already and one guy even said that we're close to 90%.

Isn't this self sabotage consider geopolitical situation?

Why not turkish destroyer programs

It would be better for you as the turks are more flexible and allow lot of local adaptations if available.

This is why I post the thread, at first this rumor about buying 🇨🇳 S26T and 052D seems like a cheap rumor, but more and more people with insights to the MoD are talking about it.

I would prefer Turkish/French/Italian ships as it is more politically safe.

052d to Indonesia damn big if true that's a huge upgrade. But is china really going to sell it when she's not even done upgrading her fleet.

That's another question. Do China have any actual spare to sell us?

The two PPA sold to us is ex-Italian navy that is nearing completion.

I would not be surprised if the ships ended up in the Navy inventory, but there's a serious question because the likely adversary of the Navy would have known the ins and out of the boat.

Making them potential easy prey.
