Saudi Arabia strategic Projects: news, discussions & updates

Even if it's civilian, it could potentially be used for building nuclear weapons. Is this being done to give the Saudis a deterrent against the Iranians?
Not sure about that! the whole thing will be under the watchful eyes of the US..
The most important part of the deal for KSA is the transfer of very advanced civilian nuclear technologies used in advancing many other scientific fields related around it..

Obviously the electricity production and water desalination are very important for all Saudi industries including huge Data Centers and AI..

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio:

When Saudi Arabia sought to develop its nuclear energy capabilities, our choice was to be its partner on this path, rather than turning to another partner

The Kingdom plans to build 16 nuclear reactors to supply medium and large facilities with electricity and water, but we can expect that it will need 21 nuclear reactors in full.. Including 5 nuclear reactors for artificial intelligence And Data centers

Saudi source :The nuclear agreement has been signed and everything is over, and there are absolutely no new conditions to negotiate.

Tweets do not cancel the agreements that have been signed, as for the issue of normalization; there will be no peace except with an independent Palestinian state whose capital is East Jerusalem. End of story.

The deal confirmed and KSA does not have to adhere to the Abrahamic accord..

This deal is strictly for civilian nuclear technologies..
I don’t know who do we believe trump or Saudis it’s a toss up honestly they should have gone with the Chinese probably would have 20 built in 5 years how fast the Chinese get things done

Saudi Arabia obtains the right to enrich uranium

Unprecedented arrangements

According to an informed source, the Trump administration briefed a number of members of Congress earlier this year on the broad outlines of the agreement, which includes a special arrangement that allows Saudi Arabia to a certain degree of domestic uranium enrichment and/or plutonium reprocessing, which the source described as “unprecedented” in such agreements.

Bold prediction:
Saudi Arabia will produce 10x more energy with nuclear than they do oil within the next 25 years. They will become the nuclear capital of the world.
The Kingdom understands something many countries still don’t.
Long-term prosperity will come from owning abundant, reliable energy that can support AI, advanced manufacturing, desalination, data centers, and industrial expansion for generations.
While much of the West spent decades slowing nuclear development through regulation and political gridlock, Saudi Arabia has the opportunity to build with a long time horizon.Out of every government I’ve spent time around, I’m increasingly bullish on the Middle East (with the U.S. still my first choice ).There is an ambition there that’s difficult to ignore.
Major infrastructure gets built. Long-term projects get funded. Technology is viewed as a national priority rather than a political talking point.
They have no politics, just pure winning culture.
Nuclear will become one of the foundations of the Kingdom’s next economic era.
