how many Sea Sultan's PN will eventually get?
It is a 1:1 for the P3-Cs to Sea Sultan.

All of the airframes will be MPA and they will all have a secondary aew role. None will be specially earmarked for training.
Why make baseless claims?
What makes it 'medium tech'?
it was over 10 iirc.if all are LRMPA then PN might not get not more than 10 examples? if they are replacing 1 on 1 to P3c, they might just need 7 correct? is that a true assumption?
I was comparing spec to spec to P8 that is how i am assuming at best it is medium tech
well for its price , its not gonna be a P8 equivalent , but it would do provide good capabilities for PNat best Sea Sultan when inducted in numbers, will be medium tech LRMPA
how do you know? from my guesstimates ss would be more expensive. we can make some guesstimationswell for its price , its not gonna be a P8 equivalent , but it would do provide good capabilities for PN
Really? If it costs perplane are equal to the p8 then capabilities should too or are they?how do you know? from my guesstimates ss would be more expensive. we can make some guesstimations
Sea Sultans have all the bells and whistles once they are ready they will be among the most advanced MPAs flying today, this is not a program that has been cheaped out on and for good reason.Really? If it costs perplane are equal to the p8 then capabilities should too or are they?
10-12 is a significant number for PN if they all convert to LRMPA. Ultimately, it depends on electronics equipment, data fusion, network connectivity, and the weapon package. Looking at PN's history, they have been cutting corners on everything they procured over the last 20 years due to various factors, especially budget constraints. If that serves as a yardstick, I would assume these platforms will follow the same pattern. Again, I am not belittling the vision and efforts to make Sea Sultan, but history tells a different story, and these are not P-8s. for example PN has eliminated aerial refueling option. For small Coastline, and PN size 10-12 isn't that a big number? or am I missing something? these LRMPA are used for ASW/Anti-ship roles both right?
Its the same thing as PAF acquiring 9 AWACS for a comparabaly smaller airspace. Yes , This is gonna be used for ASW and ANti ship .For small Coastline, and PN size 10-12 isn't that a big number? or am I missing something? these LRMPA are used for ASW/Anti-ship roles both right?
and acquiring more [4-6] KJ500/700 in the future to complement 9 Horizon7Its the same thing as PAF acquiring 9 AWACS for a comparabaly smaller airspace. Yes , This is gonna be used for ASW and ANti ship .
The PN went over and beyond in terms of what they wanted here. Leonardo was comissioned to design a rotary bomb bay as opposed to just a standard bomb bay. I dont know if it was made into the final airframe, but the goal from the start was always to go big.they have been cutting corners on everything they procured over the last 20 years due to various factors, especially budget constraints. If that serves as a yardstick,
i really just mean that cost is a useless comparison. P8 benefits from scale, SS wont. Its like how the F35 is cheaper than the F16VReally? If it costs perplane are equal to the p8 then capabilities should too or are they?
TBF in the case of the F-16V it's the lifecycle cost that matters.i really just mean that cost is a useless comparison. P8 benefits from scale, SS wont. Its like how the F35 is cheaper than the F16V
no but my point is that cost is not a metric to judge capability by.TBF in the case of the F-16V it's the lifecycle cost that matters.
