Yeah, DC's TV series have generally been better than their movies. I enjoyed both Creature Commandos and Peacemaker and The Penguin was just outstanding.Im personally looking forward to the Lanterns TV show on HBO Max

There was a time long ago CW channel took a chance on a DC series called Arrow it was one if the best comic book series on TV for about 3 seasons until it slowly went to cht. It was dark and violent it was trying to copy the Christian Bale Batman Begins and Dark night style world and it worked until the girls needed to be heroes too. I also enjoyed the first two season of The Flash on CW until they also went girl boss and minority needs powers too.Yeah, DC's TV series have generally been better than their movies. Agreed for the most part. However, it was Smallville way back in 2001 that basically started the TV. Starting 2012 to 2018 Fox, CW and ABC had all these DC and Marvel TV series some good (Arrow, Flash, Agents of Shields and Gotham) and many not so good. Then you had Netflix got in the game with Iron Fist, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Defenders which was crossover of Iron Fist, Dare devil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage and others.
CW's Arrow started this whole craze of superhero TV series when other networks saw how successful CW was and it just went insane now I know WB/CW Smallville came first (great series btw one of the best) but series ended in 2011 so there was a bit of gap.
Good TV times the kids and I enjoyed watching but mostly for me.
Arrow started the super hero craze Smallville last two seasons were quiet ones and had bad ratings and once the series ended CW went a year without a DC series it was Arrow's first season success that made the other networks want to start their own super hero series.Agreed for the most part. Shows like arrow owe Smallville a great deal.
Disagree, it was Smallville that was the launching pad for the beginning of the arrowverse.Arrow started the super hero craze Smallville last two seasons were quiet ones and had bad ratings and once the series ended CW went a year without a DC series it was Arrow's first season success that made the other networks want to start their own super hero series.
During Smallville's 10 seasons no other network decided to put on DC-Marvel theme series. WB/CW the same network that had Smallville took a shot at another superhero series a year after Smallville ended if Arrow would have failed its first season the other networks would have likely not invested in DC-Marvel series it was Arrow's huge hit that made the decision for other networks even though you already had popular DC and Marvel movies like Darknight, Ironman, Captain America and others.Disagree, it was Smallville that was the launching pad for the beginning of the arrowverse.
I do agree that the last few seasons of Smallville were subpar. That doesn't change that. Smallville basically started it all.
