I think supply chain security deserves its own dedicated thread for discussions.

IMO, the communication device terror attack against Lebanon is just tip of the iceberg. It’s important to note that not all supply chain attacks involve boobytraps like the ones we witnessed recently. Iran needs to think about food, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy/material, and other domains.

What steps will be taken to ensure integrity of supply chain?

This is not a new thing for Iran. The first reports of sabotage of equipment against Iran were during the Iran-Iraq war. Since then, many sabotages have been discovered in equipment buyed from the west and east.

The way is domestic production and accidental and secret buy that Iran has done in these years.

Doubt Iran has checked every aspect of their supply chain (especially civilian consumer goods). Israeli terror attack on Lebanon demonstrated Israel will target the civilian sector as well. My theory is Iran only analyzes the supply chain for very few critical military products. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m guessing we will witness something similar happening to Iran as well.

Supply chain security is not an easy task. Even USA recently discovered some of the F-35 parts were made in China without their knowledge.
