Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

it's just a matter of time before Iraq rises again. While the country still looks dysfunctional, it has made impressive strides since the end of the war and it seems it's working well as a federal state with almost equal rights to all
I have no doubt about that and I wish nothing but prosperity for Iraq given my ancestral ties to that country and the historical ties between KSA and Iraq which share almost everything in common in terms of religion, ancient pre-Islamic Semitic history, Islamic history, geography, culture, language, dialects, tribes, clans, cuisine etc.

Do not misunderstand me here.

My point is that you are currently under partial foreign occupation (Iranian regime) and as such have regressed with too many idiots around. What is the need for those 100's of foreign-sponsored militias and 100's of corrupt religious figures and leaders again exactly when you have the Iraqi army?

When will Iraq be a proud independent country again and regain its place in the Arab world? When will the Shia Arab leadership wake up and stop being subservient to foreigners who have given you nothing good but helped ruin your country and who keep you down and don't want you to develop?

I am not aware of any Arab countries not continuing their diplomatic presence after the fall of the Al-Assad regime.

The only Arab regimes that seem somewhat disappointed that Al-Assad fell is Iraq (but not really when you think of it as the Iraqi government prevented PMUF deployments to Syria, main Iraqi Shia clerics, Al-Sadr and others, hailed the Al-Assad removal and called it an internal Syrian affair), UAE (mainly due to them investing in trying to align Al-Assad away from the Iran-Axis - seems to have been partially successful given the leaked documents) and my gut feeling the Al-Sisi regime. The latter because it is a military regime as well (Egypt is run by the Egyptian military since the 1952 coup) so naturally he feels threatened given the recent history of the MB (Morsi) in Egypt.

However the new Syrian rulers have no such ambitions and have already had meetings with officials from KSA, Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Qatar etc.

Everything will take its due course in a natural way.

I think that what brother @mulj posted earlier of the future Syrian prospects was very encouraging and promising.

The Sunni Arab dictatorship are losing their mind over the "ikhwaan"

The UAE is completely livid(you know btw these traitor support the PKK and backed the KRG referendum right?), they invested so much into having Assad stay and be normalized, and it all blew up.

They are all scared that they are next. lol particularly Bin Zayed, who is frankly the biggest enemy of muslim and Arab interests in the region.

If im being honest, i think the UAE is run by straight up crypto murtads. lol

This is good news, hopefully they leave the rest of Lebanon as well, but I don't trust Netanyahu and his greed.

Believe it or not, I'm not anti Hezbollah or anti Iran. I'm anti Assad support for the slaughter and other things he did.

Israel said it struck Syria nearly 500 times in two days, hitting most of the country’s strategic weapons stockpiles and destroying its navy fleet. The bombings were intended to prevent the stockpiles from falling “into the hands of extremists,” according to an Israeli official. Separately, Turkish state media says a Turkish drone destroyed military equipment in northern Syria that had been seized by a Kurdish group.

It makes no sense because UAE already implements Islamic law (largely) and is probably more Islamic than many of those groups that they oppose. Also no UAE locals are willing or have any reasons to stand up against their rulers as they are some of the most wealthy and content people in the world.

It is just the schizophrenic policies of MbZ. In Sudan he is supporting hardcore elements such as the Janjaweed and others. It has nothing to do with anti-Islamist or Islamists. It is just pure geopolitics.

I don't understand the MB obsession personally. Qatar is a monarchy like UAE and is the main MB sponsor in the region. Don't seem like a problem for them.

Besides the MB is a purely Egyptian movement they barely have any support outside of Egypt, lol.

Just one of many strange examples of ME politics.

But yeah, I have become very critical of UAE foreign policy in recent years.

Ideally KSA would just annex all those small GCC states, lol.

But to be honest, all regional regimes have skeletons in their closets and at times are schizophrenic. UAE is just very good at somehow being present everywhere and somehow maintaining good ties with all players at the same time. A part of me admires the pragmatism but can't say I support much of its in places like Sudan, Yemen, Syria and elsewhere.

I mean the UAE and Turkey have become close again of late.
