Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Ahmed Al-Sharaa (Al-Julani) Women have the freedom to wear the niqab or not, because it is not a duty, and the authority does not have the right to impose worship on people.

Abu Mohammad al-Julani is a favorite of the US and Israel. He is their guy. AQ representative is now the ally who will stabilise Syria. Parody. Watch how even Piers Morgan is baffled.

I know,I know. It's just...what will happen to all those beautiful monuments and churches and monasteries and the castles and the hotels and the museums. I'm afraid of the looting and the atrocities.

Don't expect anything positive in the Middle East. This region was created for instability.

Iran wasted its money on this shit-hole situation.

Syria is gone bro......it will disintegrate and become the next Libya now.

Here's a terrorist justifying mass executions.

Yes, those Shabiba’s were sectarian terrorist son of a whores, massacred hundreds of thousands civillians from every age, just because they didnt worship that slunzy moustache swine Basshar and his Ghulat sect.

No tears and no grief and no support for those Assadist swines.

There is not one milimeter difference between a Israeli childkiller and a Assadist-soldier.

Not one!

Smelly terrorists rat nd they all look so ugly nd unappealing. Almost all are uneducated nd medieval. So unappealing. I haven't yet seen one good looking civilized terrorists! How's it possible, thats why they are terrorists.

He is Ahmed Hussein Talib Al-Sharaa... He was born in 1982 and belongs to the Al-Sharaa family in southern Syria..

His father is Dr. Hussein Al-Sharaa, the former advisor, and he is the cousin of Farouk Al-Sharaa, the former Vice President of the Republic

Their origins are from the Golan, they lived there until 1967.. but they left it due to its unstable conditions after its occupation by the Zionists

They settled in Daraa after the setback of 67 in the Al-Kashef neighborhood, Then they traveled to Damascus in the Al-Mazzeh neighborhood, and there he studied medicine, which he was forced to leave before joining the ranks of the revolutionaries.

It is worth noting that his grandfather, Sheikh Talib Al-Sharaa, was one of those who fought the French in the Al-Zawiyah Al-Mansiyya Revolution 1920-1927.

So it is not surprising that his grandson would join the jihad .

He is a calm and balanced personality and seems to have a great deal of wisdom. He is not hasty. He plans, consults, then runs out and does not speak much. These are the qualities Syria need to lead the nation in these difficult circumstances.

The Syrians know that Syria is theirs and no longer belongs to the Assad family, so they took to the streets to clean it up ♥️

Some more information:

Family background

Al-Julani's family came from the Golan Heights in Syria, displaced in 1967 after the Israeli occupation during the Six-Day War.[21] The nisba "al-Julani" in his nom de guerre is a reference to the Golan Heights.[22] Al-Julani's father, Hussein al-Shar'a, was an Arab nationalist student activist for the Nasserists in Syria. He was imprisoned by Syrian neo-Ba'athists during the anti-Nasserist purges initiated after the 1961 and 1963 coup d'états, which broke up the United Arab Republic and propelled the Arab Socialist Ba'ath partyto power.[21]

Hussein al-Shar'a later escaped prison to complete his higher studies in Iraq in 1971. During this period, he travelled to Jordan to co-operate with the Palestinian Fedayeen of the Palestine Liberation Organization. After returning to Syria in the 1970s, then under Hafez al-Assad's rule, he was again imprisoned before being released and finding asylum in Saudi Arabia.[21] From a peasant background and a graduate in economics from the University of Baghdad, Hussein worked in the Saudi oil industry and published numerous books in Arabic on regional economic development, particularly focusing on natural resources and their potential contribution to education, agriculture, and military advancement.[23]

Youth in Syria

Al-Julani was born Ahmed Hussein al-Shar'a in 1982 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His father worked there as an oil engineer, and his mother was a geography teacher.[24] The family returned to Syria in 1989, settling in the affluent Mezzeh neighborhood of Damascus.[25] According to Hussam Jazmati, who produced his most definitive biography, classmates remember al-Julani as a studious but unremarkable boy who wore thick glasses and avoided attention.[24] During his youth, he was described as "manipulatively intelligent" but "socially introverted," and was noted for a romance with an Alawite girl that both families rejected.[23]He remained in Damascus, studying media studies, until moving to Iraq in 2003.[24][25]

His Arab patriotic background is very interesting. Probably what also partially motivated him to fight the Americans in Iraq. Looks like his father had a interesting and tumultuous life.

OFF Topic again..

But that is happening..most Arab countries built very decent arms industries..
If your enemy is Nato then decent is not good enough. The evidence is clear. I understand this is off topic but this discussion can be traced back to a post about China's role in the ME.
We were discussing Arab-China relations. The most crucial relationship for every state in the world today is the economic sphere. In this regard the Arabs and Chinese have one of the largest trade volumes in the world.

I already wrote that there are deep-rooted geographical, historical, religious, geopolitical etc. (many other issues I covered) why the Arab world and West have closer ties outside of the economics with the neighboring West.

This is dictated by geography as almost all geopolitics are. If we were located next to China like say Japan or South Korea, this would have been different. Look at the cultural impact of China in Japan and South Korea for instance which is deep rooted.

Sure, and which hardware is the best in the world if not American and British or certainly used to be in the time period that we are covering?

Once again, compare Arab states that relied on USSR/Russia. All of them are failures. Even stable and huge Algeria is painfully mismanaged compared to their human and natural resources. In many ways due to their 60 + year old one-party rule and close ties to USSR/Russia. Compare it with neighboring resource-less Tunisia or Morocco.

No, there is no "get in bed" here. The West (as of now and certainly previously -as I wrote China was irrelevant just 40 years ago) offered way more positives than China could. It is hard cold calculated geopolitics. At the same time with the rise of China, a new reality has emerged where China has overtaken as the single largest economic trade partner.

Better to ask, what is China willing to offer the Arabs and the overall Muslim world to such an extent that we (leaderships) will prefer them over the combined West?

Look at Pakistan. Despite the strategic partnership with China, mainly emerging due to the counterweight to India, has Pakistan and Pakistanis closer ties to China or the West? The answer is the West.

Disagree heavily. Arab states that rellied on USSR/Russia (as I wrote) were mostly total failures and remain so. Al-Assad Syria is a perfect example of that.

I am very happy that KSA has hardly bought any military hardware from Russia. It is all mostly trash in comparison. Ukraine has proved it once again. Arab Republics learned it the hard way during their wars against Israel.

China is already involved military (heavily) with the likes of KSA, Egypt and others so I disagree with that but USA remains king here and will remain that for a long, long time. No point arguing otherwise.

Feel free to disagree I disagree as well. The US as a whole is far ahead of Russia and China, but I am emphasizing the European countries that Arab countries import from as well.

With regards to Russia it's true the countries that relied on USSR did not do well. However that's in the past there are instances where Russia is at the cutting edge alongside NATO. Few examples: Russia has surpassed the US in hypersonic missile capabilities, S-400 is on par with the patriot system, nuclear subs are on par with America.

US will sell you the hardware but do you think America will ever let any Arab state be on par with Israel? In the long term that's the biggest threat. Sure Russian hardware is not as good but that gives ME countries leverage to gain transfer of technology and possibly build their own industries.

It's great you brought up the Pakistan example. Pakistan was thinking the same as you but then the US denied F-16 deliveries - just like it back-pedaled on UAE F-35. Since then Pakistan (with China) developed home grown industry to build JF-17 which was used to blow up targets in Iran. Pakistan also purchased j-10 from China and is looking to acquire stealth aircraft from them. With this they are able to keep their enemies in check. From this the Arab countries could learn a few things about becoming independent of the Western hardware. It will suit them when the time comes to face yahuds on their soil and we know who USA and Europeans will side with.
